The only way things are going to get better for you - or for anybody - is if you tell us that you're having problems (even if you're going to leave).

The same goes to everybody else who complains on these forums about HSBC, Lloyds, Natwest, etc. (Just obviously don't use the link above.)

OP is ranting here because they have been treated bad and as this is a public forum means people can see it and make up there own mind.

like most things word of mouth either gets you business or not and in my opinion OP is just letting people know that even being around 300 odd years barclays like many other banks only look after number one themselfs

I'd like to give my thanks to Elise, ged1980 and others who have been informative, supportive and helpful. I'm new to the forum too and have learnt a huge amount from this thread... seems it's a bit of a playground.

I'm very disappointed with my bank at the moment and looked here to suss out alternatives; I won't be switching to Barclays.
