I ordered naan bread and fresh onions (so I could make an indian meal featuring onion bhajis)
I got a loaf of brown bread and a pack of mushrooms.
And my regular driver told me that a woman ordered 10 multi packs of water and for some reason got ten cases of wine, instead. He said she was honest enough to call them up and report it :P0 -

Oh my this thread brings back some memories, I used to work in home shopping and had the joyous task of checking what substitutes had been picked and then correcting the more weird ones!!
And it isn't done by computer...it's the person picking the order that decides what they are giving you as a substitute (and to whoever asked at asda you pay the cheapest price (eg you order asda beans and we sent smartprice, you pay for smartprice, if we sent heinz you'd pay however much the asda beans would of been))
We did discover the best mistakes are made by youngsters still living at home who don't do grocery shopping (don't ask why they would then be employed to pick someone else's shopping, never could figure the manager out!)
but back to topic, best i remember kitchen cleaning wipes sent instead of feminine wipes!!! or the girl who kept snapping french sticks in half to make them fit in the tub!!
Hiya emay... haven't seen you at work lately! :hello:

I have been using Tescos for a few weeks and haven't had any weird substitutions yet, I suppose it's just a matter of time.
