I have complained to everyone I can think of inc. ATOS and the appeal courts and a year later, nothing!
I would be careful of naming Doctors on forums like this. I do not know if it is allowed in the forum rules to do it either.0 -

You're right, it is not allowed, and it is also potentially libellous.
Have emailed Abuse, but could anybody that has quoted the info edit their posts also please?
Gone ... or have I?0 -

Thank you, I had not thought about the quote! I blame the hot, humid weather and lack of sleep!! I hate the Summer!

Just want to point one thing out to dmg
It may not be allowed here thats this forums perrogative but as for the libellous issue well any lawyer will tell you that you dont sue anyone with out money.
Your wasting your time see and libel isnt covered by legal aid so they will have to pay to sue you with no hope of a penny especially as they have given the person even less to live on than they had before. Even if this case of libel did happen well I think I'd offer them a pound a week ....ooops make that 50pence you have reduced my benefits so now suck a lemon.0 -

What about someone suing the site though?"If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

One of the descriptors (legal description used to determine if a point or points is granted for a problem) is about whether you no longer do things you used to do before the illness, ie pastimes etc.
The examiners use a piece of software called LIMA which is designed to tell the examiner exactly what questions to ask (and they can choose from a predefined set of answers).
Based on your answers, the software determines what other questions to ask.
Usually it then seems to take as many of the answers as possible and use them as often as possible to deny points in as many descriptors as possible, regardless of how insane the report then becomes.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -
If you feel the Doctor has been unfair you can make a complaint to Atos.
Tried that, via my MP once.
ATOS simply asked the examiner if what I said happened actually happened.
Doc said no.
Outcome, doctor must be honest, claimaint must be a liar.
Case closed.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

Thank you for that. I have seen this incorrect advice about "only mention your worst day" so many times, people have even said welfare rights officers have advised this!
I do agree that it is correct to be honest, but then the medical will be judged on the good days and the bad days not taken into account, there does not appear to be an overall picture that the Doctor doing the medical can give.0
