Harrowing has the wife had to defrost the windscreen this morning?

I chuckled all yesterday thinking of the poor lady trudging 5 miles, through a hostile environment, to dispose of a bucket full of luke warm water.

It's very third worldish only in reverse, there the poor women folk have to walk 5 miles a day to collect a bucket of luke warm water
    Thanks for your "sympathy" :rotfl:

No the lucky devil's car frost cover had melted away by 8:50 ! Remember we live in warmer climes than Lincolnshire and Pennines, or is it just the huge density of houses insulating us more...

Good news - the council will be polling for residents parking in February, although these things take so long to implement even if the public vote "yes" - need time for legal challenges. I mean, if the government is elected fair-and-square they don't have a 3-month pause whilst legal challenges are made? Except in Zimbabwe

Did you wear your best bib and tucker for the council meeting?

Any banners? "Our bite's worse than our bark
We demand the right to park" ;)

Nope, in was in a church and was there heating? - was there heck! But didn't put on my thickly padded parker:eek:
Very nice council lady in the chair, reminded me that the party I didn't vote for aren't all flesh-eating monsters
funniest moment was when i dared to mention the possibility of one-way roads to ease congestions and road rage. She said that was about the the most unpopular thing for residents and everyone laughed. i felt about as humble as humble pie....amistupid continue (trickier one for you than normal)

No banners, a very respectable-looking lot. Apart from me of course ;) but I resisted rude jokes for once....

Does Mrs "H" carry the bucket on her head. :rotfl:

I hope you've considered the Health and Safety implications.

As you've asked the question: yes - she carries it on her head, where else, she's got the grocery bag and document case to carry by arm :D

LOL, but no, would prefer the pie - Bill oddie can keep Ms Humble..

    As humble as

Constantly fawning on his employer, humble Uriah Heap was a servile creature. “I am well aware that I am the ‘umblest person going”, he used to say. “My mother is also a very ‘umble person. We live in a ‘umble abode.” Charles Dickens, “David Copperfield”

Hooray, especially, as I intimated, I missed my slice of Dickens last night due to some stupid cow plastered across our screens

Yep, that's a picture of how I looked when I was laughed down :rotfl:
