TBH I have no idea? Someone asked for savings advice, I replied advising them that an ISA should be their first priority and then noticed someone from this thread had launched an insulting post about me in large red letters basically saying that I was not fit to advise people here and that I had told someone to put £300k in Icesave which I certainly never did.

I felt the comments made about me were not only untrue and unfair they were also insulting and personal so I replied pointing out that I had not advised someone to save £300k with Icesave, that was all, I have not visited the thread in question since.

I have no idea at all why the person in question suddenly felt the need to single me out and launch such a personal attack now?

Oh dear. This thread is dying a death.

TBH, I think it's reached it's natural conclusion. The next flurry of activity will be if there are any problems when the first lot of bonds come to the end of their term. Mine is March 09, anyone earlier? That person will hopefully post and let us know how easy [or not] the process is.

Just the online equivalent of a footy hooligan lashing out at some innocent bystander, don't take it personally, let's face it no-one expected bank to a) go t*ts up so quickly and b) not to honour its passport compensation scheme!
