Thanks for the new thread, it's going great here...money still hasn't made it to my bank account, initiated the transfer on Wednesday so I guess it was wishful thinking....

Found out yesterday my department is being targeted for redundancies....:(

Oh no, bad news. Just try and keep in the background as much as possible. I'm sure we will be hearing more of these stories over the next year. Keep us posted.

I'm not on the list. Is it because I'm waiting till maturity on my 3 yr fixed?

What a horrid time to be a parent, "A" level time. I wore out 3 good leather belts on my two before self motivation took over :D

I'm at my wit's end, if truth be told.

Does anyone else play computer Hearts between posts? I can't seem to get above 31% wins. Very annyoying.

Really nice to see people warming to the new camp - I certainly feel very at home already.

We must all feel free to post on whatever topics seem foremost in our minds (not just savings related, though I think a lot will be); be it whether to buy our new bicycle clips from Halfords or Evans Cycles, whether our teenage sons are working hard enough for their A Levels (as in my case - Grrrr), the weather, how Golf Accessories sales are going, etc.

    Welcome one and all!
I'm sure I saw an advert recently requesting capital to invest in a new bicycle clip manufacturer. Sure fire winner I believe especially if aimed at the Dutch market now and the UK market several months into the recession.

We'lL get nowt. The bad news is for her handling of the Icesave compensation Loretta Minghella has been made a dame. The good news is it's Widow Twankey. :D
Just dropping in on the Veterans to see who is arround.

You may joke about it mon ami but I have a feeling La Minghella will definitely be in the Honours List- New Year probably too soon but watch for the Birthday one - for services to what ?
