Gosh, we're all going to have to seriously tighten our belts with unfixed rates ALL dropping to the 4%+. Fortunately, having survived 8 weeks of the Ice-mare we're past masters at it.

Re new homes for our Icesave pennies - I have spent the last week trawling money web sites and it's driven me doolally. I've finally elected for a couple of fixed bonds [not possible for everyone I know] + 2 instant access accounts which are high interest, but variable - which I know I've now I've got to keep checking to see if they drop.

It was brilliant doing the last role call. I found 5 dogs, 6 cats, a pair of foxes, a piglet, a chameleon, a bear, a wolf, a monkey, a crow, a vole and a hamster. Like Noah's ark!
