AbbieCadabra wrote: »i've just read on another thread, someone who has spoken to the FSCS this week has been told they can't give a definite date for when the certificates are going out!
apparently, ahem, delays have been caused by people not getting the 2nd email & the FSCS person wouldn't give an actual timescale for them being issued...
so much for what they were saying last week. things change quickly around here don't they?!
Thanks. The post is here for anyone who wants to have a look.MSE. Abandon hope all ye who enter here

No, you have me mistaken for a fool, honest guv. I simply meant that Ronnie Barker was the master of word-play (or his scriptwriter was) just like you clearly are. "Fork Handles? Nah, Four Candles!"
I remember the repeats of Monty Python (was only 3 in 1970!) - the famous Spanish Inquisition and "Not the COMFY CHAIR !!!" :T Though I still prefer John Cleese and a certain Spanish guy in Fawlty Towers !
Did I digress?

icesave fixed rate deposit maturity 15 jan 2011;
i am thinking of waiting till maturity, but one worry,
when this option is elected during initiate claim
could anyone tell what will happen next?
should i have to wait maturity to get paper claim forms!!!
i believe that claim forms wil be sent only after the maturity date fscs
so i have wait for another six weeks for getting the cheque from fscs!!
so which ever way 6=8 weeks interest is lost!!!
hence is it a good idea to get the money now to nominated bank.
could somebody give suggesstios and advice please.0 -
Talking about digressing. I reckon my local TV news "Look North" are taking the mick. Last night an item on council gritters was covered by Roger Skidmore, and today a huge factory fire was covered by Martin Sparks. :rotfl:
Brilliant! Sorry to leave you alone, but am preparing ammunition for a stakeholder meeting to discuss resident parking which we really need!
The best thing about our local london news is the weather girl - phwoarrr, oops calm down Harrowing! (but check it out if you have sky, you can get all bbc regional channels, channel 9??)
Talking of silly things, whilst on a cruise to Egypt (no i don't do that sort of thing too often) I was listening to the musak and commented "I hope they don't start playing the Titanic theme". On the way back my wife pointed out they were playing it! :eek:0
