My favourite was his wish for his tombstone: "I told you I was ill". Wonder if wish came true? :D

    Apparently so:
Spike Milligan's renowned epitaph, "I told you I was ill", which is written on his gravestone at St Thomas' church in Winchelsea, East Sussex, in Gaelic – Duirt me leat go ruich me breoite – as the church would not allow it to be used in English.

Winston Churchill's "I'm ready to meet my maker. Whether my maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter".

    Some of Cyn's best quotes:

Every time we had a raid, I'd get a boyfriend out of it.

I always seemed to fall in love with policemen.

I think all old folk's homes should have striptease. If I ran one I'd have a striptease every week.

    I'm glad I haven't married - I crave excitement.

My biographers said my parties reminded them of a vicarage tea party, with sex thrown in.

Once the film came out everyone wanted me, including George Michael. :D

It was a memorable event. All us single lads who lived in barracks had saved up months for the erotic bus trip. The night before we'd all got drunk. Someone went through all our rooms, searched all our possessions and stole most of our savings. Rather than call the trip off our adjutant came in at the crack of dawn and subbed us all some money. About 6 weeks later one of the lads who'd gone AWOL sent a post card from South Africa to the RSM. In it he admitted stealing our dosh but apologised saying it was the only way he could think of getting out and that he had joined the security forces over there.

Often wonder what the sh*t is doing now. :D

    Hopefully crocodile fodder. ;)

Good story, but I see that poor Dawn has been in "illegal combat" again !
