DD and I claimed on the 25th, money arrived in our accounts in the early hours today (28th). Now waiting for our ISA certificates. Has anyone any news on these?
DD has opened new fixed rate ISA with Scarborough BS, but issue is now closed so she has to have money and certificate with them by 15th December. It is not looking hopeful.
Oh, I don't know ... if the FSCS finally pull their finger out!0 -

Hello again. Great to be back. At least something good came out of the recent unpleasantness.
Am feeling really, really pleased to see all the familiar names that I thought were gone for good. Bit like waving farewell to friends going off on an ocean liner which set sail and then turned round and came back into port again and I was invited on board for the party.

Hi all,
.....
BTW, hasn't nilrem jumped threads yet or should I change my username to amiblind?
Take care all...

Perhaps we should go and rescue him - he might still be in a 'debate' with the man in the big boots?:eek:
p.s. My bonds were not due to mature until 2009/2010, but I still wonder how smoothly or otherwise the paper process will go....Every rule has an exception.......:rolleyes20 -

The only info on the ISA certificates is in the FSCS icesave FAQ which says it should take 2 weeks from when the electronic process was completed.
There is a thread on the certificates at http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1305471&highlight=icesave+isa+certificate
But I am not aware that anyone has received their ISA certificate yet not even the first people to initiate.
I vaguely recall reading somewhere they weren't treating the certificates as a priority but I can't remember where that was.MSE. Abandon hope all ye who enter here0 -
I advised Saga for my Mum (you must me 50+) as their guarantee top-5 moneyfacts.co.uk rate tracker looked reasonable.

My mum's got that. It is excellent especially when all the rates keep changing as they are at the moment. It justs saves all the effort of switchingMSE. Abandon hope all ye who enter here0 -

Yes the red has all gone now - well if I don't open another bottle it has. Probably time for bed and another think about where to put the little pot of money I got back from Icesave Brrrrr. I know that by the time I've decided they will all be giving about 0.000001% interest. I wonder if under the mattress may as good as anywhere!:eek:0
