"no free work"
You quoted the wrong person in your post. Perhaps this is why you can't get a job.....
But again, feel free to resort to the last form of defence, with "name calling". Its against the T&Cs of the site BTW.
Bit like calling you "no free work" to "no work".
Have a good Christmas!

As a taxpayer i object to a company as large as Tesco being able to subsidise it's labour requirement with what is in affect our money. It strikes me as not unreasonable to at the least expect them to bear the benefit costs of that person for the period they work for them. It would still be cheaper than normally employing them.
From the OP's point of view i can see why he is not too happy about all this. As others have suggested the chances of employment after this period do look slim.
Whoever negotiates these things in the DWP has taken a good idea in principle and ruined it.
I agree - not to mention unfair competition! Unless all the supermarkets have been offered it but some have turned it down. It is very unfair that taxpayers are boosting Tesco's profits. Tesco should at least have to repay the JSA and any other benefit back to the system if they recruit anyone, although I doubt recruitment is their aim.0
