  • I have a bit of a feeling that there may be a re visited in a couple of years, so the pressure is still on to keep a watchful eye on the finances just in case.As for selling the chocolates on line this is a definate yes and a web site is under construction as we speak. Don't like to blow my own trumpet but the chocolates really are yummy, especially the rum the baileys oh yes and the whisky and oh you get the picture. I won't abuse the site but if you like I will email you the details when it is live (about 2 weeks).

Oh yes please for the details. You can email them to dh too, along with a reminder for our wedding anniversary too

What has happened with Jeannie's cleaning business? It looked like she had built it up enough to be able to outsource the work and take a more back seat role. Sorry for the q's, I'm nosy!

Good on you Andrew for making a go it. Please PM me too when you have your web site up and running they did look lovely.

Great to hear we may have catch up programme to see how everyone is getting on. Did they say if they are going to do it again with new people?
  • Jeannie discovered that there were a lot of people out there that were happy to pay for someone to clean their home. Jeannie did get busy and I used to help out too with some of her work. Not only was it very tiring but sometimes we found it a bit depressing making other peoples homes look and smell so lovely and then come back to ours which needed lots of work! The chocolate business grew quickly and I then needed the help of Jeannie. We possibly could have employed someone for the cleaning work but this comes with it's own set of problems. It was decided to put all our energy into the chocolates. Jeannie also helps me enormously with my Cliff work in that she is my sound man and roadie and if I'm lucky, groupie! Our first bookings start in May with the visitor centre so it is a very busy time.
As for the programme I haven't heard anything about a new series or new people. Must share this one with you though. I had a few appointments today, and halfway through decided to have lunch in a local cafe. Two guys walking past and one does a double take at me. Both turn round, walk in and shout out "It's Cliff Richard". They both plonk themselves down with me at the table and order themselves coffee whilst asking me questions such as "Did you really pay £1800 for that wig?" Another guy gets up from his table and says "I thought you two would have to sit at the celebrities table. I always knew he wouldn't do it." I found the experience bizarre and there have been a few of them and I don't doubt that Sean and Anne Marie could say the same.

She's got the energy to be a groupie too?! You should consider yourself very lucky ;):p

Lol @ Cliff - that must have been quite surreal. It sounds like you're really grabbing the bull by the horns and making every effort to build a successful business and I've no doubt that you'll make it.

I really do wish you, Jeannie and the children all the very best for the future. Don't forget to email me the site url when you're up and running and I hope you'll continue to post on MSE.

Anyone else wondering, another year on, how the peeps from the show are getting on?

Surely even if not the mainstream channels, then BBC3 could do a follow up, maybe not now, but say at the end of the year, to see how they did without Renee's 'guiding' hand.

Renee was on GMTV the other morning and mentioned that the lovely couple who were selling the jewellery had emailed him to say they'd managed it. He seemed really proud of them. I would love to see a follow up, was addicted to the programme.

I was only thinking about them yesterday - weird that you should mention them today?
  • Hi Amyface. My sister was on the programme (Anne-marie and Sean). Although the mortgage isn't paid off they continue with the cost cutting and money saving tips learnt throughout the programme and still aim to pay it off as soon as is feasibly possible.

All her tips have therefore rubbed off on me and our family. We are now able to shop for less and i've managed to make £40 this month by using websites such as topcashback or vouchercodes etc. Every penny counts!!!!

Am sure that if anything happens though, she'll post something herself before long!

Good to hear an update & other peoples thoughts.

They chose a good set of people to appear on the shows & its good to hear of further success!
  • Loved this series. Where are they all now? What happened to the guy with the stoves? The NLP person? Wish the progs could be updated like they do with the No Going Back series on Channel 4.
