    Morning all,

Been another hot day today. Made bread, biscuits & cereal this morning as well as caught up with the laundry. OS called and picked up DGS at 5pm as he's sleeping down at his place. Nice surprise. DH suggested going to the Bowls Club for tea. ;) He just rang and said he might not get home in time. So not sure if we'll go or not. I haven't cooked tea so I suppose I better do something just in case.

Off to meet DD tomorrow and do some Christmas shopping. She's coming back and spending the night. We're going to experiment with the toffee vodka. :D

Ruby Happy birthday wishes to real Ruby. :bdaycake:
    Jet  :D
N9eav We have no such thing as MOT. ;) I think I would always wonder if the mechanic is being honest.
Tru I've never even done a advent calender but do look forward to yours. :D
Smokey Hope you are coping well. Hugs to DS.

Well hope you all have a lovely day & <hugs> to those not well or down. Byeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Morning everyone- hope everyone is ok today?

Tru- Gosh thank you for saying that about Advent calendars- I haven't done mine yet either! Will sort that today!!

Right well chilly morning here but we are off to Toddlers this morning so that will keep little man busy!
On our return I shall hoover and dust and finish the windows that i didn't do yesterday as my sister and my niece came round for lunch!

My bread went wrong yesterday and didn't rise as much as usual- i think I have boght yeast suitable for handbaking by mistake so will need to buy some other today.

Chicken for dinner- not sure with what just got the chicken out to defrost!

Still need to wash the car too- really didn't get much on my list done yesterday so must make up for that today!!
Dh only has ONE WEEK left of his notice to work- woohoo! Then he is off from 5th Dec til new job starts 5th Jan!! (Remind me I was excited by this in 2 weeks when he is driving me nuts!!!:D )

    Right off to get started!

    Have a lovely day everyone!

n9eav Good luck with the MOT!
RedrubyHope your dd has a lovely day!
BetheebeeGood luck with your injections today!
  • Morning Chums ,
busy day at JackieO towers this morning .Got to get the SC on with some casserole for dinner tonight ,then try to shift some of my crafting stuff upstairs (6 big boxes) out of the way for a month, as on Monday my youngest DD comes around to fix up my dekkies and tree.Still have a few bits to get for my eldest DDs birthday on Tuesday (41) doesn't seem possible:eek: .This afternoon I have college, and also tomorrow morning I have a field trip with college to Rochester.Three weeks of this on Saturdays ,traffic will be murder.I think next week is Dickens week-end, so I'll have to get a bus there as its impossible to park within half a mile of Rochester, and the centre is bang in the middle of the High Street.Still at least I can try the mulled wine afterwards if I'm on the bus. :rotfl:
I have been trying to do a bit of detoxing by chucking things out that aren't needed anymore and found a boxfile in which I have almost every guarantee going back to around 1970 in it ,Why did I keep junk like this:confused: ,its even got stuff from my old house that I haven't lived in for 13 years?? I can feel a trip to the tip coming up tomorrow.
Just a few more cards to make then address them all. Aren't stamps a price though, I bought 18 yesterday and it came to almost a fiver. I have two Australian ones to post and a French one as well. Oh well its only once a year, thank good ness.Well I'd better get a wriggle on Porridge for breakfast, that should get my motor running and keep me warm till lunchtime.
<<Hugs to those who need one >> and a big :D to the rest of you ,have a great week-end everyone
    Cheers JackieO xx

    Morning Everyone

:bdaycake: Ruby 14 is such a fab age to be

Its all crisp and clear here brrrrr.Just dropped the kids off at school and I suppose I should get all domestic. But theres something about Fridays that makes me want to forget the housework and go out instead

I spent my Qype voucher yesterday and bought a fifi's kitchen for my yd,She'll be so delighted on Christmas Day

I'm off to Morrisons this morning to stock up on Voddie ready for Xmas.I'm still in pursuit of our Christmas Turkey.I saw some tiny ones in Tesco's the other day but they were too small for my lot I would need 2

Mum2g1b- If it were me I'd still use the yeast but put it on for a longer time i.e medium loaf on at large loaf setting and this should give the yeast longer to activate.Either that or use the BM for dough making and shape and raise again in a warm place until its the height you want

    Lesleyxx
  • Lesley- to be honest I always use the dough setting and leave it for 1/2 hour to rise and then bung it in the oven. The paddle on mine leaves such a big hole we lose a big chunk of bread so I shove the dough in a loaf pan and bake!!

it didn't rise much more yesterday when I left it so I am sure its the yeast. oh well will try leaving it longer to rise and see if that helps!

Morning everyone. Back in work today, had to take OH to the neurosurgeon yesterday, the good news, if you can call it that, is that her problem isn't bad enough to require surgery, yet. She will need surgery in a couple of years though.

Bit of a later start this morning as the lad has an inset day so no school run, 20 minutes extra in bed, one of lifes small luxury's.

Chicken & chips for tea, following on from yesterdays roast chicken. Then dads taxi for the lads guitar lesson this evening.
  • Morning All,
Sunny but freezing here today. Not much to do in office, got to return a dress I bought in Topshop today via office post:D
LS's coat arrived yesterday and it's FAB, she will love it. Also received another part of OH's birthday present. So all is on course gift-wise.

Got the folks up tonight for the Ed Vs Ospreys game( ) so MUST clean flat when I get back. Will grab a burger at the game so won't bother cooking.
Got to pop to Tesco at lunch for essential bread and milk but that's about it.

Hope everyone is well, weekend is nearly here so keep your heads up.
