Ich bin ein studente! Ok, so I probably spelled that entirely wrong :D

I enrolled on my course, so from the end of the month I will officially be a chef in training!

What am I letting myself in for?

Oh my word - could barely get out of bed this morning! Glad to see that condensation has returned to the roofs of cars - frost is only a few weeks away :D Sorry for those of you who like it sunny, but it doesn't agree with my Scottish genes!

Not much activity on the DFW front of late, as surprise costs for things have been appearing left right and centre.

Still reviewing like a mad thing (good reviews, just a few too many) and have started to get involved with Ciao a bit more than previously. It's just a shame that the site is so slow to refresh, makes reading and rating somewhat onerous.

Looking forward to a lucky weekend (after £6.10 from my two free scratchies in two days). That said, the highlights will be finishing cleaning the oven (do Star Drops work for that?) and I'm thinking about making confit duck for dinner on Saturday...

Evening Ed. Booo to frost and more sunshine needed if you ask me!

I have used star drops on my oven but think it depends how mucky it is whether they are sufficient at the job.

Doing very well thanks - apart from me managing to lose my lottery ticket on the way home from Sainsbury's. Typical - it'll no doubt be the one week I win :rotfl:

Other than that it's all good - the sun is out and we're off on holiday on Tuesday coming.
