Can Edinburgher be debt free and a mortgage holder by 30?

I have no doubt you will get that deposit sorted by the time your 30, and by then I will be approximately 105
Well, it's some achievement being a mother if you're already 102
I have to confess to being a naughty boy, but it's worked out for the best. As there's a 72 hour delay withdrawing money from Virgin Bingo I continued playing (only the 1p tickets) and my initial £5 has now become £17.01! I can withdraw money from dinner time this evening, so will be taking out at least £15 so as to avoid future temptation....
Nasty hangover this morning - that £5 gewurtztraminer seemed like a much better idea at the time.
Lots of productive DFW stuff to be getting on with, so I'm off to order next week's groceries, stitch up a basket liner and find some Stardrops0 -

Withdrew £16.91 from Virgin Bingo, which is an £11.91 profit
I even had a few penny tickets left and have managed to win another £1 since logging off this evening! Not bad, but I'm sticking to the 1p games and withdrawing any wins of £5 or more... Hey, it's cheaper than the Lottery.
Didn't spend much today other than that, although I did manage to pick up some of the vaunted Stardrops so beloved of OS board users. It doesn't say much for the excitement levels in Edinburgher towers when I'm looking forward to cleaning my worktops, does it?
GF and I decided not to apply for Scottish jobs until we're debt free, so it looks like we'll be spending another year in Bromley. It sucks a little as we don't see our family very often, but it was good to talk things over and to see that we're both very similar in our opinions of 'where we're going' in the next year or two.0 -
Yay to the winnings.

A good little NSD today - took the train to Nunhead and visited the beautiful Victorian cemetery there. It's massive and is largely overgrown with woodland as it was abandoned by its owners in 1959 before being bought by Southwark Council for the princely sum of £1!
We spent a very enjoyable hour wandering through the wooded groves and saw lots of young families out picking brambles and generally making use of the space.
Two bottles of water and a Fry's Chocolate Cream were our sole spends as we waited for the train home
Now to do the hoovering and have a nice relaxing evening...0 -
