Can Edinburgher be debt free and a mortgage holder by 30?

Arrived home to discover that the overdraft that I painstakingly calculated for and was 100% sure had been paid off apparently had £20 still to be paid. Wasn't really up for an argument, so paid it by bank transfer - I want me letter confirming that the damn thing's closed!
The guy on the other end of the line couldn't have been friendlier, but it's still bloody annoying :mad:0 -
Yay, found your diary0

Meh - somewhat peeved!
I was doing a series of convoluted bank transfers this week (money from savings to current account and back again, with various cheques paid in) and I managed to request more money to go into my savings account than I actually have left (week 'til payday). I'm going to have to cash in the sealed jar tomorrow unless IF will cancel the transfer
Feel a little bit like I'm starting to unravel as I have so many things on the go at times - and I don't even have that much on the go!0 -
Hi edinburgher
love the diary but not had chance to read it all yet got a few ideas though!! im always leaving money in bags and coats e.c.t so im gonna have a hunt round to see how much i have !
how dose this quidco thing work? do you think i should do it ??0 -
So many things on the go money wise? Or life in general??Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

hi edinburgher, sometimes it feels like the debt free journey is a full time job in itself - youve always gotta be ahead of the game, its hard to juggle from one to another, to another and back again lol
its just a hiccup youl be fine fingers crossed it gets resolved

Morning
I've done the same thing with transfers before, then cue emergency hunt round the flat to see if I could find anything lying around before dipping into the £2 jar0 -

Well, Quidco www.quidco.com is a cashback site. You can make money by making purchases through their links (everything from chocolates to holidays) and they pay you back a set % after a few months. It's a bit like an electronic piggy bank in that respect. They also offer money for clicking on advertising/search links (a few pence a time). You'd be wise to use it for purchases, but I'm not entirely sure that you need to do the 'daily clicks' as you already earn a reasonable wage?So many things on the go money wise? Or life in general??
Just money wise. Seriously, if money didn't exist my GF and I would live in some sort of utopia - we're never worried or annoyed about anything else!it feels like the debt free journey is a full time job in itself
very true - and my debts aren't even all that badbefore dipping into the £2 jar
As a fellow Londoner? I don't see how you can keep a £2 jar - I'm telling you, Sainsbury's staff would rather be shot than hand out £2 coins!0 -
