Hi just to say the panic and feeling sick for a week was a bit dramatic!! even for me!! the interveiwers were really nice made me feel relaxed, I have done all I can do now, was glad I walked round the house talking to myself for the last two days practising my answers. thanks for the good wishes we will just wait and see!!0

janet, how were the questions matched to the competencies? each competency has levels and bullet points - is there one question for every competency or for every bullet point? :eek:0
-
It was quite relaxed and the interveiwer had a list of competency questions I think I have now decided that I have blown it!! I was in the interveiw for about 20mins but one person was in for over an hour, now I cant decide why when the person came out of the interveiw they did say they could think of nothhing to say so I dont know, It was my first interveiw for 20 years so I dont expect ot get the job but it was alright for a practise!!!0

HI Janet,
hope you do pass
i have a interview on thursday i was just wondering can you remember the actual questions you were asked?
any help would be great
Thanks0 -
I have an interview for an AO position on Thursday as well, any further advice and help would be greatly appreciated - I'm so nervous :eek:0
-
When I was interviewed for AO the questions related to the competencies that they sent me.
I read and re-read them and thought of a couple of situations where I felt I had used these competencies. I even took the notes in to the interview.
The questions were all worded 'Can you think of a time when .....' I can't remember the exact questions, but doubt they would be the same for different positions.
Try to think of the new job and what you would be doing. Then think of previous employments, and life experience and see if you have done something similar.
You will need to explain what the situation was, what you did, how you felt, and what the outcome was.
I have a start as an EO in 2 weeks and my questions for that position where very similar in wording to the AO position but different as they related to a different department.
