Hi..... I’m new to this forum so a BIG HELLO to everyone.

I have just received my disclosure scotland form today to my home address, and was wondering who shall I send this to at Newcastle?

Does anyone have the address where this is supposed to be sent to? Also, should I send a copy instead of the original certificate?

    Thanks

  • Hello everyone, lots of excellent advice to be found on this thread. I've had two previous interviews with DWP for AO and EO positions respectively. Both times I've failed to get the position or be placed on the waiting list. On Tuesday I received a call about an interview for an AO position next Friday. The competencies mentioned have changed from previous applications –

Analysing, Improving and Changing – level 1
    Building Capability – level 1
Delivering a Customer Focused Service – level 1

The whole application process was different as well, with a surprisingly challenging online test (much more complex than the Numeracy/ Literacy papers), which involved analysing reams of text before being given related questions (50 in total), a lot of which seemed to cover managerial competencies.

Going to practise my interview answers over the next week and hopefully get through on this attempt, third time lucky etc.

Are the numeracy and literacy tests no longer applicable then?

Not sure. I'm going to take the certificate along to the interview regardless.

Hey ER4CH, I just had an interview today as well. Like you, I'm not feeling that confident.

I'm just trying to think that I did my best, and onto the next one. I have written down the questions they asked me, and I'll come with better answers to help me with future interviews. Hopefully we can both remain positive!

Ive got exactly the same competencies as you MrJeff! but i also have an additional one which is: Delivering a professional service.
  • Hi, i have been reading these threads for a while in preparation for my interview for the dwp which ihad today. I first had to do a one hour online test then i was invited to my interview. Interview lasted about 15 mins in total and i was asked 4 questions. In hindsight the questions were pretty easy but at the time i was so nervous that i think i did pretty crap, but for anyone who needs examples of the questions mine were:
1)Give me a specific example of when you gave exceptional customer service(and when i sayspecific i mean speific, like mention mrs x had a problem andi did this that etc as she kept prompting me to give her more specific examples)
    2) give me an example of when you improved your own performance and how did that effect you and others?
3)give me an example of when you communicated effectively to an audience
4)give me an example of when you made a mistake, what happned what did you do to rectify it.

At the the end of the interview i was told that i would know within 10 working days whether or not i'd be succesful!

So fingers crossed, and good luck to the rest of you who have an interview!
