A is the higher grade with E being lowest
D is a management position
7 is lower than 1 (there are very few grade 1's - probably one (the PM ?)0 -

Hi everyone,
I am currently applying for an EO job in the North East. I went to an information session yesterday and was told a lot about the job, time frame etc. In my region at least, the closing date for applications is 22nd January. They said they would let you know whether you've passed the test within two days (this is the aim anyway) and will email you the location you have been assigned to. This doesn't mean you've been granted an interview though, that will come several days later after your competencies have been assessed. You are then required to book an interview on the online booking system. Interviews take place between 24th February and the 8th of March with positions beginning at the beginning of April to coincide with the new financial year. Hope that is of help to someone!
I am struggling to write the competencies at the moment having recently graduated and never actually completing an application form like this before. Does anyone have any advice as to what 'building competencies' refers to? Thanks guys and good luck!0 -
All this latest lot of vacancies appear to be EO's - As I can make out - which DOES appear a little odd - 4,000 EO's - suddenly flooding the market !!
The adds say x amount but you have to remember that they haven't factored existing fta staff who will be offered permanent contracts, they have just put a ball park figure down.
Out of the 4000 staff they are recruiting I would imagine about half will be AO grade.
At the moment there is an oversupply of EO's to AO's in some districts and it will vary across offices, AO's have limited mobility in contracts so they will probably be spread across more offices whereas the EO adds appear targeted at specific offices.0
