Job Interview with DWP

hello sportycus. You seem to have mastered the DWP interview process. Can you give some tips as to how you did so well, the kind of prep work you put in etc. I also passed, but did not do as well, and I'm still waiting for a position.

:DJust an update folks.. I am being hassled and chased by resourcing!:D:D

I know it is a strange and unique position to be in, so I am enjoying while it lasts..!

It may not transpire in to a job, but it feels like it might.. :eek:

Good Luck - but the likelyhood is that they will be trying to find an excuse for not employing you - probably a way of getting rid of you .....

Actually, they are messaging me about everything "your certifiacte arrived, now we need xxx" and "we got a reply to reference requests, your details are xxxxx" "your checks are complete, we are sendiong your file today" " We sent your file yesterday and have confirmation that it was received by the local recruiter who will contact you direct" etc.. all that in 4 days...

IRC62876 update..

For those of you waiting on this one, I got the standard email letter today...

We are currently updating our records and wanted to remind you that you are still on our waiting list for the above vacancy.

Unfortunately Jobcentre Plus is not in a position to offer you a job at this time. I appreciate that this may come as a disappointment to you however the waiting list does not expire until 30/06/2010 and we will be in touch during this time if an opportunity arises. If you have not heard from us by this date then unfortunately we will not be able to offer you a post.

If of course your circumstances have changed so that you no longer wish to be considered for this post I would be grateful if you could notify me by email at

I got a letter stating I had been successful at interview on the 21st of December for IRC 63896, stating they were doing my pre-recruitment checks....havn't heard a thing since, stressing me out pretty badly. It's for Portsmouth area, if they don't actually offer me a job I think I might destroy the universe as we know it.

I just received an e-mail from DWP informing me that I am now on the waiting list as there are no vacancies at present.
