Well I had my interview for EO, have another interview for AO soon. I am worried because they never gave me my Literacy & Numeracy result letter, Is this required in order for the interview to take place? Shall ring the 0191 number??0

No, you don't need the letter stating that you passed your numeracy & literacy, as you wouldn't have an interview if you'd failed0

You don't need the letter for the interview to take place.
But you DO need it if you don't want to sit the Lit and Num test again, the result letter essentially gives you a pass on that for interviews for all positions up to EO grade.0 -

Just to update, DWP did call back and said they were still waiting on my pre- employment checks i had my crb through before i got my sucess letter so that was at least sorted. Anyway today i phoned a number ending 2420 and the lady said my checks have come back and that the are still reviewing staffing levels and that i should hear in a couple of weeks regarding a start date, no mention of merit lists or anything!!!
So i am gonna call the number you mentioned tommorrow and ask about merit lists and get back to you.
You never know we may end up working together in Rayleigh lol, will keep you updated and fingers crossed x x x
Hi DM,
Glad to hear of your progress. Sounds like you are high on the merit list if they are saying you will get a start date letter. My temporary summer job is now coming to an end, and as I was hoping to have a start date at the DWP i havent really looked for anything else. They way things are going you will be well ensconsed at Rayleigh, and I will be asking you to find me a job!...lol. Cant bear the thought of being unemployed at Christmas, its depressing enough being skint the rest of the year. Keep in touch!

Hey Spangles,
I phoned the Dwp again today and asked about the merit lists and they said all my checks are clear and that i am 48th on the merit list and that things should start moving again at the beginning of November when the jcp have got back to them with the staffing levels, but she doesnt know any more than that and can't garantee that you will get a job as it depends on how many jobs are available and where you are on the merit list.
So now just gotta hope that they need plenty of staff in our areas x x x0 -
Hi all
I have an interview for the 19th which is only a few days away.
Someone else mentioned the competencies for the AO position. I have the same ones:
Delivering Customer Focused Service
Building Capacity
Delivering Professional Service
Analysing, Improving and Changing
How did you answer these? I have previously applied for an EO position last year to which I was unsuccessful and I feel some of thses questions are similar to the ones I received then but the titles have been renamed. So I am curious as to how those were were successful answered these competency questions.
Any help would be much appreciated
thanks0 -

Thanks for the advice! Obiviously wouldn't get an interview if I didn't pass lol! It's just I know that one of my friend has his result letter, would have been nice to know what my result was.0 -

Has anyone heard back from Exec Officer interview for Bham/solihull?
Had my interview 3 weeks ago and can't get through to the number Manpower gave me, just keeps ringing out
Very frustrating!!!
I had my interview in Sutton Coldfield 16/09/09 and it has been 4 weeks now and no response so far. I tried calling the number they gave me and it just rang out for over 5 minutes. If you hear anything, please let me know and I will do the same for you too.
Thanks!0 -

When you go to your interview, mention that you haven't had your results letter and would like it in case you want to apply for anymore DWP jobs, see what they say. Good luck with your interview.0 -
