  • I had my interview for EO position on Saturday and received my CRB check form in the post today, dated from Monday.
Is it likely that i've been succesful, or do they send those out to everybody? I think it costs £32 to do a CRB check. in fact, it's already part of my job to know that! Surely DWP wouldn't waste so much tax payer's money to perform checks on all candidates?!

You need to read the depts standards of behaviour guidance as you are clearly in breach of them....I suggest you look this up on the intranet tomorrow

Wow, Nick that was quick! Congratulations!

Can I ask where in the country you are? My interview was in Chelmsford - I phoned Warrington just now with the general query on how long it was taking to hear after interview and they said "up to 4 weeks!"

I am in Leicester - maybe they are just quicker there at the moment! Have sent al the info back and am just waiting to hear if I am offered a position or on a waiting list!!
  • Hi

I wonder if anyone can help me?

I had my interview for an EO position at the weekend.
Yesterday, I received a CRB form to complete and return. Does this suggest I passed my interview, or do they send that out to everybody who attended an interview?

My interview was on the 14th, the letter was dated the 17th, so I imagine it's a response to the interview.

    Thanking you in advance,

    Joe

    Hi

Mine was for an AO position and they aske you 4 questions on each of the competencies you were given.

I can't remember exactly, but I think they were along the lines of the following:

Tell me about a time you were in a difficult situation or dealt with a difficult customer

Tell me about a time you had good teamwork

I can't remember the other 2 but I think one was about what I had done to improve myself and others.

Just remember to alwats say I and say what the situation was, how you overamce it/what you did and what was the positive outcome of this. I went through the 4 compentencies and just thought of a situation for each and you can't go far wrong.

Please try not to worry, I was getting myself stressed, but actually when you get in there they are fine. There were 2 interviewers and one did a couple of questions and the other did the last 2. You are marked so many points on each question and then that is sent off to Newcastle.

    Good Luck!

Sigrid, I am trying to ensure that you don't get yourself into a whole heap of trouble.....you are leaving yourself open to accusations of misconduct, there are enough people who dislike us and wouldn't hesitate to drop you in it...be careful about what you say, that's all
  • I had my interview 2 weeks ago - and very excited to find out i'm number 4 on the merit list of 81 - so relieved.

I got a letter a week ago saying i was on a 6 month waiting list for EO personal advisor in shropshire (i applied for telford) and since i had already been offered a job with the nhs (but didn't really want that one) i wrote the dwp a letter asking where i was on the merit list. i recieved an email from them in newcastle yesterday saying i was number 4 out of 81 with 50 expecting to get jobs in the next 6 months.
In contrast i had already applied for wolverhampton and got a 'congratulations you have been successful' letter only to find out i'm number 82 on the list, so it was second time lucky, and a lot easier knowing what they were going to ask you as both interviews were identical.
