I was showing a colleague of mine yesterday how to change the URL to get the Christmas delivery, didn't think it would work again but it did. I didn't bother booking as last year I had about £150 worth of items in my order but they cancelled my booking and removed my order so I had to do it all again. I ended up getting my shopping delivered from Asda instead.

You don't pay for it until the day of delivery. I put an item worth over £25 (usually fags even though I don't smoke) in my basket then checkout. You can change your order up to 10pm the night before delivery for Asda, think it's about the same for Tesco.

At the top of your screen, the address in the url should read:

http://www.tesco.com/superstore/deliveryslots/?week=2&target=frontpage&orderNo=-1&addrId=1&BranchNo=5014 (sorry about this being a link, didn't know how to make it not be a link)

Now, if you go into this address and change it so that it reads week=4&target it will come up with the xmas delivery slots and you should be able to book them from there.

in other words, change the bit that says week=2 and make it week=4

That ought to do it I think.

i wouldnt bother ordering off tesco before xmas i did last year and over half was sold out my £80 shop was £25ish so I refused delivery then has to drive to tesco in the end, waste of time

Never had a problem the last 4 years I have done it, other than the odd item not being in stock (about 3/4 out of a £90 order)

Thanks but I don't think I can bring myself to book a Tesco slot with £6 delivery without a discount code!! I think I'll just battle on up to Asda and do my shopping myself this year.
