I was going to online order this year, felt like I just couldnt face the instore queues. But after much thought, (and reading this thread) I've come to the decision that tackling the queues and fighting over that last loaf of bread is one of the fun things about christmas. Yes, it gets you flustered, and (at the time) very angry, but once your home, and have your feet up and happy in the knowledge that your ready for the big mans arrival. Its 100% worth it, and an amazing feeling :D
Merry Christmas!!

Hi. I have just received this email along with a voucher email, I don't feel it makes up for the ill feeling but shows that they now relalise what a pis* poor decision this all was

Dear Michael,

Thank you for your email.

I can fully understand your frustration in booking a timely delivery slot for Christmas.

I am very pleased to note from your account that you did manage to get a delivery slot for the 21st Dec which I hope you will find suitable

I am sorry for the problems you had, I have therefore issued an Ecoupon worth £10 as a gesture of goodwill.

I would like to wish you a Happy Christmas.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us at customer.service@tesco.co.uk quoting xxxxxxxxx

• just booked my slot for 30 dec as these slots seem to be out now!! No codes working though
• I just logged into Tesco, I managed to get a slot for 22nd December. All the 23rd December slots had gone and there were only 2 left on 22nd. The whole site is going really slowly for me at the moment.

I had a slot booked for the 21st but wanted the 23rd. So i stayed up till the slots should have come live at midnight but like everyone else they were fully booked. So I rung up this morning and spoke to someone and explained what had happened and at first said that the priorty people must have booked them all, then all of a sudden 4 slots became available for the 23rd and i managed to get one. For once, for me anyway Tesco have done something right!!!

Wel I phoned to give off this am. When told they delivered to 23rd I told them thast it was false advertising as the majority of customers were unable to have the choice of this date. I also asked if they operated a preferential treatment system, only to be told no after the CSA said the top 500 online shoppers were given the choice! I have no idea if I have a valid point but I really needed to let off steam.
2p or not 2p? That is the question!

I've just been on the Tesco website & they are showing deliveries for 24th December, they're all booked up but I thought they weren't delivering on that date???

I do have a slot with Tesco for the 23rd, obviously one of the lucky 500 I suppose however..Tesco are putting their prices up at a rediculous rate and I compared my shopping with Asda and for the same stuff, I would save £22 with Asda.
The only reason why I did Tesco groceries online is cause of the codes, which are now like golddust.

On the 22nd I will be going with a friend to Asda (she asked if I would come..she drives..I don't, neither does my hubby)..and on the 22nd I will be cancelling my delivery slot for the 23rd with Tesco.

I do not agree with treating customers any different and why should I get a slot and someone else not...

Tesco have lost my custom and I will be ordering / shopping at Asda from now on.

They must be pretty confident of stock availability!
