Thanks Verbatim, Some of it was PPI refunds so i don't think I'll do as well this year but its something to aim for!
Well My name is DTDT and i'm a spend-a-holicI went shopping last night, monthly shopping and my mistake was...i was hungry
my £50 buget was blown and I spent £94 pounds
I know...
Im so down about it, i did get a few christmas things for my hampers, like chocolates and I bought a few deals which means I wont need as much next month like skips as they were 50p for a bag of six and Cat food but still...
On the plus side I supose I get all those points and a discount for my petrol.
I haven't looked at my leccy metre yet, I have only had it on a few hours a day (hour in the morning, 2 hours in the evening) but I am desperate to keep under my target (i also bought candles in tescos as they were on special to help)
My NSD and the £51 I paid off my debts this week are probably my only positives at the moment! I have made my NSD target and I still have 4 days of October left, its prooved to me that I can do it and next month i'm going to aim for 20 NSDTOTAL: (1.9.2008) £[strike]20,971.00[/strike] (02.12.10)£11,006.07£9,262.93 Paid off (Since LBM)Debt Free Date [strike]2021[/strike] 2015Savings £100 Dec NSD 11/20, Sealed pot challenger 1043:xmassign:0 -
Look on the bright side, you won't need so much next time. To claw it back could you menu plan using what you bought to mean you won't shop for an extra x days? Mind you £50 for a month is not exactly generous so you're doing pretty well on that front already. Yeah I guess, i was just soo disappointed!
I checked the leccy metre today....
No wasn't too bad I reckon so far i've spent £60.22 which isn't too bad on average i've only been using 9.5 units a day over the last month but it hasn't been too cold an autum yet so I still need to monitor it..
another NSD under my belt which i'm pleased aboutgoing off to make my pledge on the November NSD post now...

Well 3 days in to a new month and 1 NSD under my belt J, I’m £82.23 in credit with the evil electricity company and by my reckoning have only spent about £60.22 worth of electricity so with 1 more £50 Direct Debit to go before my next bill I’m hoping I will have very little to fork out in December. I’m going to try and cut the heating usage by 1 hour this week and see how I go its not that cold yet
I earn’t another £15 with my scratch cards and have used it to finish 4 Christmas presents so I’m please with that because I see it as I got them free! My dooyoo reviews are coming on and I’m almost ready to order my next voucher which will go on more Christmas presents, I’m going to aim to get as many “free” presents as I can this year I reckon I can earn another £20 worth of amazon vouchers easy before then, and I have £18 in scratch cards still to withdraw too so it all helps.
This month I need to look at getting my car insurance down as much as possible it was £26 a month and I don’t know if I will get it any lower than that but I will try!
My budget is looking good for this month all my bills are now paid except 2 small ones and I still have some money! :TTOTAL: (1.9.2008) £[strike]20,971.00[/strike] (02.12.10)£11,006.07£9,262.93 Paid off (Since LBM)Debt Free Date [strike]2021[/strike] 2015Savings £100 Dec NSD 11/20, Sealed pot challenger 1043:xmassign:0 -
You're doing well DTDT!
Well done on all the free pressies. How're the groceries lasting?CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420 -

Need a kick... 9 days into November and only 3 NSD!
I haven't done anymore dooyoo reviews which is really bad, but I can't get to a computer all that often, I have lots of reviews on paper that need to be transfered on to the site but I don't want to do a job lot incase people complain i'm going to try and do three this afternoon I think..
I haven't done a lot this weekend, I went out with friends on Saturday night that ended up being more expensive than planned so this week I am going to make an effort to spend as little as possible which should be ok I don't have anything planned this week and I know it sounds bad but they were all planning a night out this friday so i think I might pull a sickie! :rotfl:sad I know but this weekend I even offered to drive and they were having none of it. I know we had a good time and I don't go out that often but now i'm left watching the pennies for the rest of the month, they just don't seem to be very understanding at the moment, because I didn't trive I was stuck to get home as I couldn't afford a cab on my own so I end up going from pub to club its annoying, I try and organise 1 night mid month where we all go out together, to the flicks on orange wed or something but i'm feeling more pressured by them to go out at the moment so I have to resort to going into hiding!I know i'm being boring and I feel like it but I can't help thinking a lot of pain now will be better in the long run

Ahhh i'm still spending!! no more NSD yet! i really need to pull my finger out!
I have written some more reviews and up'd my balance so my next amazon voucher is reedeemable but i might hang on for another few weeks as see how high I can get it before I cash it in, if I can get to £50 in the next 2 weeks I might go for the £50 cheque and rather than buy the books i'm getting as xmas presents from amazon I might get them from WH Smith if they are still doing the deals...
This weekend should produce at least 2 NSD's and I have some overtime (wohoo NEVER happens) and that money should see me through til pay day, I've arranged to have a dinner party next week and I have most of the food for that so I will be a tight with my money as possible!
We have officially 6 weeks until xmas so I am budgeting mood. I have done a budget for next year and it includes saving towards things like the car tax etc.. all stuff thats been hard to do this year because of the job situation, it will be so much better if i can stick to it and not be scrambling around for large lumps sums every now and then!TOTAL: (1.9.2008) £[strike]20,971.00[/strike] (02.12.10)£11,006.07£9,262.93 Paid off (Since LBM)Debt Free Date [strike]2021[/strike] 2015Savings £100 Dec NSD 11/20, Sealed pot challenger 1043:xmassign:0 -
Keep going! You can do this, I know how it feels, gets so hard when you're not crunching the big numbers but the small stuff all adds up!
Hope you're okay
