As lovely as it is to get paid before Christmas I really hope Decembers Pay for me is as close to the end of December as possible. Am so determined to keep within budget this year and going to my mums for Chrimbo will help (no turkey etc to buy!)
Have a lovely time in Perth Maz, what have you got left to still buy?

i have still got a lot of family presents to buy, although that said i'm not buying as much as I normally would... should be able to pick up a lot of what i need in Perth at the weekend, failing that there is a great big tesco extra on my way home, so will stop off there....

Mostly it's just an excuse to meet Beanie, have lunch somewhere nice (with vouchers of course!!) compare Radleys and talk about you lot!!

Hi sally - what I do is transfer our December pay into a savings account when it gets paid- then transfer it back on what would have been our normal 'pay day.' That way - you don't have such a struggle through January!! i know that isn't always possible if you need it for pressies etc...but just a thought;)

Y'know what Brum, that is a fab idea....! i may have to do that as well, even if it was 75% set aside, it would be a big help and remove the temptation....

I think i will do that!!

    Hiiiiiii DFWs

Hi Lenny! :j Welcome back :kisses3:

Sammy - I have a cleaner. Well, I have two, for one hour a week - so two hours worth IYSWIM. Worth every penny. No guilt here, it is all about value for money. I might even double the hours come Feb when I begin studying - AND increase Elliot's nursery hours without increasing mine at work - so an extra £100 on cleaning, and an extra £120 on childcare - but factor in the return and it's worth it :)

    Can I just say something?
    ...

I have done my Christmas shopping :j

and spent a small fortune on expensive kitchen knives
  • Long story, doing this quick so no one sees, but feel wretched sitting here at work...all new girl-ish and feel like everyone hates me.
    :(

    *sigh*

Oh bun :grouphug: I bet they don't hate you, maybe they are just socially inept - it's so hard joining somewhere new, I've been in my job 3 months and still no one says good morning :(

I bet they're just dazzled by your beauty and brains :kisses3:

I don't mean to flippant, but I just can't see why anyone would find anything not to like about you x

How many hours is this for a month for a cleaner? I'd love one, but could never afford one (not sure I'd ever feel comfortable having it done for me, even though I am a lazy mare when it comes to cleaning :o ), is it £100 for 8 hours a month or 16? If it's 8 hours a month - I might become a cleaner! :rotfl:

  • Singstar mikes, singstar disney (with hannah montana!) and singstar Abba all for the bargain price of £48 from Zavvi... only bummer is no cashback from zavvi/quidco....

i hate spending money on anything without quidco-ing first but the quidco suppliers were all outta stock of the things i wanted... so will just have to take it on the no cashback chin....

Wow Lou - a drum kit!! are you bonkers!!?!? just leave the money sitting and they will come for it.

Sammy - i am jealous, i would like a cleaner then i could get rid of big G, trouble is, i would have to clean first for them coming!!

    Maz- I love you!!!
I had no idea what to get DD for Xmas- vaguely thinking karaoke machine but know nothing about them..but shes crazy about Abba- I'd never heard of Singstar so just looked it up and it's ideal!!!!
