    Just got a bill of 275 pounds for National insurance,

    I 'll be honest I am terrified since I don't have that kind of money.

    Its because I registered as self employed cos stupid bloody Avon.

    I don't understand any of it. they said I didn't earn enough to pay tax, that they would send me forms to fill in but theyhave just sent me a bill!

    Buffy I am assuming you earn less than £5,000 per annum with Avon - if so you can apply for exemption from class 4 NIC's...I will find a link for you hang on....

    thats okay chick, a lot of people fall into that trap and they don't tell you...you may also have to request that they back date the exemption..Add a letter to the form requesting that they do this...
