Funny how Christmas shopping seems to be on everyones agenda at the moment!
I think its just hitting folk how little time is left to get it all done!
I'm hoping to be able to cover everything for Xmas with my November pay this year (and Hubbles' birthday as far as possible) so I'm not too skint to buy baby stuff in january;)26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

i need to get what i want out of this pay, and pay bills, so when i get paid on Xmas eve then i don't have to rush around like a maddie....
am contemplating using some of the £0balance credit i have, like my 2 catalogues so i can pay some out of this wage and some out the next... but the prices are too high compared to what i can buy with cash on the high street.... so not bothering..
I'm meeting beanielou on sunday for lunch and a little bit of xmas shopping in Perth... can't wait!!!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

Lenny re the drum kit, you really can't go wrong with a Roland. Ok new they are pretty expensive but you can pick up an older one like the TD6 second hand at not too bad a price. They last forever and to be honest I loved my TD6 for at home rehearsal. The TD8 is the next step up, it has more sounds and a little graphic type thing. But in all honesty loads of the sounds are pretty bloody useless. I only ever use the drum and percussion sounds, never the daft cartoon type ones, I believe on the TD8 you can use the pads as well as V skins, I think the TD12 comes with skins. But you are getting into the realms of a lot of cash. So, I would say for a start up (again) kit, the TD6 would be the way to go.:A

I've just finished making a huge chicken bake topped with thinly sliced, buttered potatoes for tea.
What would we do without Morrisons ready cooked chickens?

back from work. Got my pay slip today for last month - it included my normal 18.5 hours per week, 5 hours sitting in on a session (tutor's CRB hadn't come through), 15 hours teaching and £101 (pre-tax) back pay as it seems the pay deal has been agreed. After tax etc, it still only comes to £838. Oh well. I'll have £100 WTC so that's £938, so should have enough AQA to get me in a position so in total all the bills and basic food budget and petrol are covered for next month, which , to be honest, will be the first time I've been in that position this year.
Feels like a lot of running round for not much in return but it's better than last month and £300 a month better than when I started in March so I have to stay positive - it's all upwards.

Hi sally - what I do is transfer our December pay into a savings account when it gets paid- then transfer it back on what would have been our normal 'pay day.' That way - you don't have such a struggle through January!! i know that isn't always possible if you need it for pressies etc...but just a thought;)20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100
