OK I'm up for this one. Just updated my signature to show the £24k of CC debt I've got at present. So count me in for clearing this by Christmas 2009!!!!!

Right, count me in again. I will probably hit £15k for this year's challenge (polly's 2008 one) and if I can clear £20k on this challenge then that is almost all of my debt paid off!!!!!!!!!!

Haven't done anything like this before. Have managed to clear 6K cc debt another 3K cc debt and 11.6K loan debt since becoming a single parent of 2 12 weeks ago by cahing in some shares (before the crash) and an endowment (halfway through unfortunately so lost 1K!) Only debt I have now is the mortgage which is 227K!!!:eek:
Not getting any help from husband with this and can't see that changing so would dearly love to reduce that by a bit. Can I join in and aim for 25k on top of my normal repayments?

As for "reporting in" - just pop it in your signature that you are in this challenge and keep your running total in there. Every time you make a payment, post on this thread and share the news with everyone else! Simple!!

I won't be constantly changing the first post with peoples totals because that is a big job to do with so many people taking part, but it worked well last year with people just reporting in to the thread with their progress.

the thread works better the more that people put their progress on - even a small payment will encourage others, so please do not think that it is not worth you putting your payments on here!

Thanks for putting me on the list hypno.....feels sooo real but pretty good too:j .
I think the payment a day thread is really useful and have been doing it without posting so overpayments no matter how small are the focus too every day for me.
