Greent - well done!! Also good luck with baby! do you know if its a boy/girl? any names? (god i sound so nosy!!)

Thanks (on both points!!) It's another boy (we have DD, & 2 DSs). Unsure of names at the mo - can't agree - but will have to come to a decision soon!!! Whilst we'd have liked a girl to even things out a boy is more MSE as we have lots of boys things (DD is now 11!) lol!

  • Hiya, £20 off today, but going on my hols tomorrow! (£9.50 Sun holiday!) Should be packing but can't get motivated - too many clothes to iron first!

Got £400 to last till I go back to work (on maternity leave till 18th May) and hoping to only spend £200 (tops) while we are away - everything else is taken care of for the month - I get paid on the 15th but paid to the end of the month so this will mean more money coming in - yipee! Hoping to go scouring the charity shops while we're away for DD - she needs some more clothes as is having a growth spurt. If I actually come back with any money I will put this towards my credit card. Also, just found out I can get tax relief for Union fees I have to pay and his can be backdated 6 years so fingers crossed!

Agreed - some amazing totals! I'm sure this has been asked earlier in the thread, but i'm not going to try and find it - but I was wondering how people were counting their totals i.e. are you looking at total payments made or just capital?

I am counting total paid for motivation, but at the end of the year will report back on how much capital I have paid off! I am secretly still hoping to achieve £20k of capital paid off, but not sure if I will quite make that. Capital paid to date is £7,168.
    Paying down the mortgage:
    At 1 October 2011: £226,000
    Currently: £224,499
    Aim: 85% LTV (£212,500)
    Paid £1,500
    Target remaining: 88.89%

I've only done capital - otherwise it's not reducing my debt. However, mine has only been made possible by a - DH claiming a load of overdue expenses (the cause of lots of his CC debt - him not claiming tehm as they fell due! - grr!) and b- DH being made redundant. His new job is not perfect by any means, but he has a job :D
