            Hi everyone,
I must be one of the worst serial lurkers out there!! This is my first ever post - I'm very shy!
I've been really inspired reading this thread and would love to join the challenge.
I'm going to go for £10k which should bring my debt down to about £8k - wohoo!
I'll put more details in a signature over the weekend.
Thanks for this challenge hypno, I'm getting really fired up now! :j

First achievement! Have paid £206 off the MBNA card - horrendous interest rate I know, but I can't apply for a new card at the moment as tried a few times earlier this year and kept being rejected! Will update signature once the payment has been credited to the account.
Gosh, that is a stinker of a rate. I guess you're concetrating on that one first then!? well done for starting.0

I know - it was on 0%, then they cancelled my card (for no reason I might add - I have never missed a payment!) and informed me that my new rate would be 34.9%!
Never mind - hopefully will not be long until I can clear it, I get my bonus next month! Paying down the mortgage: Paying down the mortgage:

oo a challenge...better late than never eh! Been a bit carp this year and just twiddled at it so really want to do better next year so will go for £10,000. Will continue with the same math as I use now if thats ok due to dyslexic brain - ie I just go on totals remaining each month so the interest is included IYKWIM. The loans are all front loaded so is included anyway! Def need a challenge/kick up the bum though...much too much procrastination and shopping this year...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! I'd like to sign up as well pls. Haven't had any advice yet but if I aim for £10,000 that would be a whole 1/3 of my debts. Any more would be a bonus!
 Cheers0

            Hi to all,
I am a newbie on here and am looking to sort the financial side of my life out.
Is it too late to join in with this, what looks an interesting idea? I am looking at around 30k of debt and I am fed up of being like this, I am number crunching at the moment to get an accurate figure.
Any tips on what/where to look for good info would be appreciated.
