Well the sun is out at last and I am of on a walking tour around the city of London and hopefully I'll be able to pick up some cheap theatre tickets for tomorrow evening as well. Will also try to get into the free art galleries and see what is now in the turbine hall at the tate modern.0

What a brilliant day, the sun beat down on a fantastic looking London- everyone there was in such a good mood, helping others, being polite, London you have restored my faith in Human nature and put the Great back into Britain.
Free deck chairs in Trafalgar square, watched the nutter on the plinth as the sun beat down like at no other time this year, whilst enjoying the view of our national hero Nelson stairing down towards a majestic looking Parliament.
Went into the National Gallery and for free saw Van Gough, Constable, Caravaggio etc and was humbled by there greatness and proud of our fantastic Capital's gift to the world.
St Pauls Cathedral - £11 to get in, up from a fiver the last time I was escorted out for refusing to pay. £11 ! didn't even get as far as the foyer this time.
Did the city of London walking tour for £7 which was amazing and I learnt so much and recommend anyone to do one. For instance, Christopher Wren replaced the 118 churches which were destroyed in the great fire of 1644 with 58 larger churches of which only 28 have survived the blitz and stand today. (although you'll need £11 to get in the biggest).
Sat outside the Tate modern and ate free ice cream (as woman in shop nearby didn't charge me for them). Strolled to Parliament and Westminster abbey, closed at 7pm-well done Britain, cater for the masses, cos London was packed , I have never seen anything like it, And, there was gorgeous women everywhere-well done London.
2 for 1 Italian by Victoria station, a few beers and train home. All with enough left over form £125 bonus to buy new shoes.0 -
This was designed by Wren to commemorate the great fire of London and is very close by to Puddle Lane were the fire started. It is simply called Monument.0

We started at St Pauls tube station (exit 2) just turn up at 2.15pm and went from the Cathedral down to the river and finished at tower hill. We stopped at different spots on the way such as the globe, millennium bridge, anchor and bankside pubs, monument, Lloyds building, Gherkin, various sites of Pepys and Dickens until we fell into Weatherspoons at tower hill gasping. Our guide knew absolutly everthing and was very entetaining. I will see if I can find the website and post further details. For £7 top value for money and I will defintly do another walk with them next time.0 -

Did I chuff ! No we didn't have time on the tour, but now I know where it is I will make a point of doing it at some point in the future as well as begrudgingly paying £11 to do St Pauls. On the rare occasions I am in London I always use the tube and you miss out on so much and there is something on every corner to see or a plaque to read, I now know were the YMCA was established just because I read the sign as I strolled past it. There is just so much going on, more than any city I have ever been to.
I have no idea how far that we walked but my feet are feeling it today and I wouldn't want to do it again tomorrow.
I've never considered this a sneaky diary, but it does make it sound like it has slipped under the radar- I'll get rumbled one day !0 -
iPod music list defines character
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8215564.stm
Revealing the music on your iPod may cause others to make spot judgements about your character, a study suggests.
Classical:White, upper class, personable, intellectual, unattractive and boring
Jazz: Friendly, emotionally stable, with a limited sense of responsibility
Rap: Black or mixed race, lower class, athletic, energetic, hostile
Rock: Rebellious, artistic, emotionally unstable
I have all of these on my ipod, but I am looking for the stereotype that says "spot on, decent, loyal" as opposed to emotionally unstable, hostile, limited sense of responsibility, unattractive and boring. I might as well kill myself now !0
