  • Ha Ha- I love your post ! Glad you enjoyed single & lonely thread , I came across it and thought it was a bit depressing so I thought I'd be cheeky and try and cheer it up a bit with some my dark humour. However, you have confirmed my greatest fear- you like online gaming, top gear, probably have great taste in music.......drumroll....... married already. This was the point of the thread all the good ones are gone so what's left on the scrap heap ( a heap I include myself on- I am not above my own wit as anyone who has been reading this so far will have realised) Your maths is spot on for the location and talking of maths -20 years ago last Monday I went to see the naked gun at the cinema, I remember what I was wearing, who I went with, why do I remember useless !!!!!! like this but I've forgotten how to do long division which surely will have a greater bearing on my life. !!!!!! brain. Have a nice day everyone.

I'm going to have to take issue with the 'scrap heap' reference there Jim! I'm single, 30 years old, I love Top Gear (Clarkson for PM), I own the one and only series of Police Squad on DVD, one of my top 5 movies is Shaun of the Dead, Buzzcocks and Blondie are on my iPod and thanks to a misspent youth I will always think of Chun Li from Street Fighter II as my alter-ego...
There are some non-rubbish non-married girls out there. Trust me, London is teeming with us!! ;)

Hope you had a lovely bday xx

been trawling the site and found this rant against another user-
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=387161&page=63-

I try to lighten the situation, but no its just that you wish to try to make points. Not just one point but too many points to count. You have run out of fingers and toes and everything else. Well, you are now being told directly. Is that what you wanted someone to tell you straight mate. I am telling you straight mate. Now grow up and pull yourself together man and be a real man. Not some jerked up excuse of a internet nerd with a flashy keyboard and a pet internet name. Do you carry your usb key fob around with you just in case you need it, its sad to see someone resort to such a low life. Lets see some meat to your person. A bit of real stamina. Try and do something demanding. Try a new experience for a change. Do a new challenge. Do something that matters. Make someone's day for a change. Make someone laugh. Brighten them up. Don't be a nit picking internet nerd, be a real man and prove your worth more than the space you fill. Do someone a good deed. You are tested on your deeds not your nit picking points. Look you probably don't think it but I am trying to do you a favour. Get a life John not a internet profile. There is a world of opportunity out there and you can make it if you have confidence. You need to believe in yourself and not what you say or your bullet points. Its lucky that I write on a keyboard because my handwriting isn't great and you would probably question that. Judge others as you wish to be judged. Treat others as you wish to be treated. You realise the reason people don't answer your every point is because they can't really be bother to stoop so low. I am trying to bring you up a level instead of being a bottom feeder John. You were not destined to be weak but be a strong resolute person. Go forth and multiply as they say. If it doesn't matter to you it matters to me. Go get somewhere in life. Make your life worthwhile. There are opportunities out there you just have to have the confidence to grab them. I don't want you to end your days and wished you could have done better. Even if life kicks you down, get back up and start again. Come on John. Make my day. Make your own day. Make your life worthwhile.

    Great bit of abuse !

Well hurrah if I've even restored it just a tiny bit! I'm trying to maintain my faith in men too so we're in the same boat!

LOVE Heart of Glass but I think my biggest guilty pleasure is Hanging on the Telephone.
I'm in the phone booth/it's the one across the hall... :D

Me? Bless! I've got a great figure for forums! I used to wonder whether there was anyone for wierd little me. I sort of thought that blokes like the high maintenance/lip gloss/ooh new handbag type - which I'm not. I really do think there is someone for everyone though. Jim the Brighton scene is fab - I was there at uni - and I don't mean the trendy places - go somewhere fun! Is the Gloucester still there?
perhaps you should take rubyslipper somewhere nice :D

its now called the barfly- part of a chain - they have some really good acts on but they sell out so quickly, I used to go the the pressure point across the road and hectors house, but am a little old now. About once a year manage a full on night out at the honey club or funky Buddha, but again its the age thing and the cost of getting in, £20 for a good night, I saw GNR @ Wembley in 1991 for £18.50 ! now I am paying more than that for some idiot to play a few records.- This is my audtion for grumpy old men, hows it going so far?

Well, you may be a grumpy old man but I feel like an old woman - I don't recognise the names of any of those places! 80s night at the Gloucester used to be a staple - my favourite. Also 80s night at the one behind the Brighton Centre (?Orianas) 80 p for any drink and that was a bargain even then - very MSE! Aah, them were the days! Now have I cheered you up - you can't possibly be as sad and cheesy as me:D

Orianas closed years ago, it then became the event which again has gone now and it opened as oceana 2 years ago- caters for hen party's and those that partake in the barcadi breezer- I hear they do a good 80's night in the new york bar in there- its split into 3 sections and I belive you have to be 25 or over to get into ny.
