When he booked the installation he thought he was put through to virgin board executive to book the deal !

Well, it's nice he feels significant unlikle those of us who feel like a drop in the ocean compared with massive companies!
All the best with the claim for charges. :)

well he only had it installed on Wednesday and he's already ordered a lead for a tenner from Amazon, I'm sure it will be with him by next week. When he calls them he doesn't realise it's a big call centre dealing with 1000's of calls a day, he thinks its 2 people in a corner office waiting for his call- I haven't the heart to tell him. When he booked the installation he thought he was put through to virgin board executive to book the deal ! Bless !

its lovely to hear he has someone like you, i bet he was dead chuffed when he got his new fake HD - he'll be even more chuffed when he gets his real HD!!! older freinds and neighbours need people around to help them sometimes - gives you a warm fuzzy feeling inside!!! well done you!

anywho... how you keeping? you finding it easier to cope each month??

well another 2lb's lost, not a smuch as I had hoped but it is still progress. I have just paid £555 in my maintance charge which was very late but I have been scrapping it together slowly, Its all part of the progress of standing on my own two feet again.

I currently have the cold from hell- I don't remember ever suffering as bad as this, shakes, sweats, earache a nose like a dripping tap. I managed an hour at work yesterday and then came home. today I didn't even get up.
For a good clear out I got a chicken madras last night and I think it may have helped, just had the left over for breakfast- scummy I know but I have no shame ! It reminded me of a "naked lunch" moment, this is from the novel by William S. Burroughs, when at a particular moment you realise that this is it, this is as good as it gets ! Obviously I have set my goals small !

Bless the person who invented tissues with added balm !
  • Hi Worried Jim
Sorry to hear you're feeling carp, I read your diary and you are doing really well.
  • hi jim, hope you're feeling better.
You can get tissues with olbas oil in which sting your nose a bit but unblock it quite well! Stinks the room out but do actually work!! Have some soup, always makes me feel better. I'm currently wrapped up in bed but for more feminine issues, wish I had a cold :( i'm boiling hot but the hot water bottle stops my tummy from hurting lol so got my feet stuck out the end of the bed to cool me down!!

Scrubs is on e4 and that cheers me up :) Hope its nice and sunny where you are, has cheered me up a bit.
Try to stay positive when you're not feeling too good, maybe you'll lose another pound or two being ill and not having much of an appetite. You might also save a few £££'s by lying in bed.

hope that you feel much better soon.
    xxx

Well Jill it is true, the grass is always greener- I feel happier with my cold. Thanks for your support Goochie.
The virgin hdmi saga continues- as I am at home I thought I would make use of my time by visiting my neighbour (keeping a safe distance, I don't want to finish him off) and connect up his new lead. Well damn me if we haven't gone and bought the wrong one. His is one on the first hd tvs and has a dvi socket on the tv- found this out after I tore open the packaging . Why cant anything go to plan? Anyway I've ordered him another one, second time lucky.
Had a reply from First Direct today re bank charges, they think they are fair blah blah blah. Anyway for me to prove hardship they want 6 months of my current bank statements, 6 months of wage slips, copies of my outstanding creditors statements and to fill a form in. Feel too lousy to do it today. My nose is red and sore from blowing it, have just eaten a bag of chocolate eclairs though so every cloud/silver lining... losing the will to live today.
