    Agent Hotchner in Criminal Minds highly recommended- he is delish and there is always a plot.

    I saw season three last year and thoroughly enjoyed it, I like its racy plot and it is a bit different. Season 4 starts on June 12th, so only 112 days to wait. Although the real reason I watch is.....

    hi there jim
    I am in New Zealand, and ALL of the good stuff is on sky pretty much. There is NO sport on terrestrial tv AT ALL well except for netball:rotfl:. And we have gone over the figures a couple of times now. To get the sports package here is $85 a month, so about £42.50. For that amount of money, my DS's can play sport for a term pretty much, so it is a no brainer at the moment that we let them play sport!

    Hope all is ok with you Chev in NZ.

    Had a call from British Gas earlier (I left them a month a go) advising me that Npower had put their prices up by 4% (news to me) and that BG would offer me a 4% discount if I went back. I explained that BG were 18% dearer so with npower putting up their prices by 4% and BG offering me a 4% discount BG would still be 10% more expensive and she just hung up! You cant blag a blagger ! Jog on.

    Another month and another set of problems. My lodger is moving out April 1st and it really is the worst month for me as I am due a £555 maintenance bill end of March and I was relying on his £400 to go towards it. Without that there is no way I can pay it, plus I have to give him his £400 deposit back. I have the room advertised but have had no takers yet (except for a phone call from someone who could barely speak English so I lied and said that it was gone and an email from a dodgy looking couple (photo incl) which I took as a scam). This always happens and I always get some one decent its just the waiting stresses me out so much especially when I am so reliant on the money.
    I have had to have a careful look at my finances and it means that for the first time ever I will not be making a full payment to payplan this month as I need the £120 for food. I called Payplan this morning to get advice and left a message but I haven’t heard back, I may just send them £10 as a token payment rather than do nothing. How this will effect mt repayment plan I don’t know but I have no other choice. As a further kick in the teeth I have next week booked off and was planning on going out for dinner for my Birthday and going to Hastings for the day to visit the battle field as I have never been, instead I shall be spending the week at home making up excuses to my friends why I have had to cancel and avoiding phonecalls from my creditors, unless miraculously I find someone decent to move in.
    I am trying not to feel to down but its just another tale of sorrow in the never ending tale of sorrow which is my life at present.
    On a good note I have lost 8lb’s last week.

    Hello, we missed ya it's been quiet on here, things don't sound good but Jim I am sure someone moved in in the nick of time once before I hope it happens again.

    Hopefully this maintenance bill can be deferred for a few weeks? is it for a house (i am thick i might leave this to a clever bod like George sorry) ?

    If it must be paid can you do some extra bar work or something just for a couple of weeks? or tutor? or do gardening for someone?

    Well done on weightloss. This is a lot of lost weight, was it necessary? am a bit worried. Dude are you eating? Are sugars ok? I do hope so.

    Err this doesnt sound too friendly but i dont mean to be just asking questions. Please look after yourself we like you you are nice and funny too.

    Hello Jim,

    I'm glad you've posted - at least we know now and can do all the business of virtual this's and that's, all the while genuinely wishing we had the real magic wand to wave, some extra wherewithal to somehow send along to you.

    I think this is the worst year I have known for so many peeps known to me, here and in so-called 'real' life, being bludgeoned by successive waves of blows.

    It really does seem to be a sign of our times, matched by our Earth's being rocked on its axis, too.

    I remember last year's stress before your excellent lodger arrived, so yes - we know it WILL end well again, but I in no way underestimate what this edgy wait does to you.

    The financial cack is just£that, Jim. Again, many of your support team rallied for you and you DID come through, entirely by your own great efforts and staying power. Again, none of this affects your current quandaries, but I still hope your sheer record of achievement thus far can armour you over the coming month.

    ...for which you need to be here, be not alone.

    For that is one thing you are not, Jim, never in mse land. Okay?

    - just topped up your glass. Salut, friend!

    You will enjoy your birthday, yes+smiley.gifeven if off-plan.

    Jim - Everything that ampersand said with nobs on (and hugs as well ... a tad dodgy as I am generally a lurker on your diary and not a regular poster ;))

    My suggestions would be that
    - you pay PayPlan enough to pay each of your creditors £1 or your suggested default of £10;
    - pretend that you don't have the bill to pay ... enjoying your birthday should be your priority (it only comes once a year and when it's gone it's gone). I don't mean go mad and spend loads, but to miss out on what you have looked forward to seems cruel. Start to think, what would you advise a friend to do ... then hold you own hand and do it;
    - work out what sort of lovely lodger you want to inhabit your spare room and keep thinking on it (what sort? male / female / other, what creed?, do they club, like classical music, comedy films, enjoy curries, do shiftwork, stay with you M-F)
    - think where you might find such a lodger ... an enquiry to local companies (I used to work for a large American corp who send their staff all over the UK M-F and there may be IT companies who employ contractors in your area)
    - what sort of person would be excited by your spare room (I don't mean this as a joke as I know that you have recently decorated, but who would feel comfortable in it ... then look for that person)
    - put your mobile on silent and unplug the house phone (you do not need rubbish from people who are employed to chase you for money).
