Well I've just finished part 10 of the Pacific, what a rubbish tv series. 10 episodes of nothing but boredom, couldn't care less about any of the characters or tell any of them apart. Episode 9 was the only good one. I bet Sky were well hoodwinked into buying this series, "Spielberg and Hanks you say, the same team that did Band of brothers? Where do I sign?" Then when the tapes were delivered they realised they had bought a turkey, and if any customers upgraded to movies just to see it on the back of the brilliant band of brothers they'll be calling for a refund.
Only reason I kept seeing it was that I thought that it would get better- it never did.

How are you keeping these days? Not long now until your hospital appointment.

January 2007 I am in a Restaurant with some work friends and the subject got onto music and the school disco, now I remember my school years from 10-14 with the fondest of memories, for those magical 4 years I was king of the hill, smart, popular and athletic.
I started talking about the roller disco at Granby Halls where I used to go with Suzie and Annmaree. Now at 14 I went to a different school to everyone else (my first big mistake in life) and never saw or spoke to annmaree again (although on the last day of term we went to Alton Towers and I grabbed her ample bosom on the log flume, classy guy I know). I saw Suzie a couple of times but then nothing until 2000 and the friends reunited craze.
Anyway, walking home from the Indian I thought to myself that I hadn't thought about or mentioned annmaree's name since Alton towers 12 years before. The next day when I checked my email in box I saw something which made my heart stop and time freeze, an email via facebook from Annmaree, talk about a shiver running down my spine.
Annmaree married Ozzy Osbournes roadie who had now retired to the middle of no where near Avimore where she had nothing to do but spend all day trying to find her old school friends on Facebook. Within about a week 100's of school friends had contacted me and I have spoken to a few on the phone, even the school B1tch emailed to say that she was sorry and understood that she was a bit of a cow and sorry if she upset anyone which I thought was nice of her.
To this day I am still getting "add add friend" requests from old school friends and from people that I barely remember, but they all seem to remember me. Just when you think that there is no more another request arrives. Most of the class are still in Leicester, Suzie is in Australia and doing well, Annmaree is in Scotland listening to rock excess stories and I am in Brighton typing random crap to strangers. God I love the internet. Jim.

By the way I can still remember the records they played at the roller disco, it was the first time that I heard,

Got to hospital 10 mins early yesterday- the place was deserted, never been on a Saturday before. Got to the eye clinic which was empty and sign saying "sit down, we will come and get you". Only been there a minute and they came and got me and I was done by 11.20. Really stings your eyes though and my pupils were massive. Driving home wasn't to bad but everything was so bright, spent the day inside with the curtains shut so I missed the heatwave.
Did give me the chance to catch up with "strike back"- when did Sky start making good programmes ?

well done. It only gets done once a year and the reactions get better. Invest in pair of prescription glasses (not straight away!!). Contact lenses 24/7 are fab but you may get eye infections.

Well done pet. I always treat myself after a visit to the hospital. Enjoy today.
