There is something strangely ritualistic about injecting yourself. I am surprised at how easy it is to do, here's the kit, you need to do this so off you go and do it. Day 2 at the the hospital tomorrow, no idea what to expect but hopefully it will involve tablets and not more injections, especially in the wrist. I have ran out of glucose strips now as well. Slept fine last night, only got up once for a drink and it was only a sip not pints.0

It is amazing how much better you feel when you blood sugar is under control. Good luck with your hospital appointment.0

now on two sets of tablets for the rest of the week to see if this can stabilise my insulin, if they don't work then its back to the injections. Have been shown a better way to draw enough blood from my fingers and given some single use lances.
I have to call the clinic back on Friday with the results of my readings for the week for them to decide the next steps. I've had excellent care and advice today and I feel ok.0 -
Glad your feeling ok. Did you get more glucose testing strips?0

Glad they're looking after you Jim.0

I've got another 10 from the hospital and I've been to my local surgery to get a script for 50 strips and 100 lances which I'll pick up on Wednesday as all Dr's were on lunch and couldn't sign it. Had another urine test and the nurse said it was better than Fridays as my Ketones were down from 4 to 1.
My Dad has called to say not to worry about this years Easter Egg as he will eat it on my behalf. Going to see if I can shift a bit of weight this month.
Thanks for everyone's kind words and support it really makes me smile.0 -
I am always told when I attend the diabetic clinic that diabetics are supposed to eat a balanced diet, therefore a little bit of an Easter egg will not do you any harm. Tell your Dad not to worry you wouldn't want him to have to eat all of the Easter egg himself therefore you will help him!0

Glad your dad's looking after you Jim, or should I say glad your dad's looking after your easter egg. How kind of him.
