I also noted that the flight to Glasgow seats were easily available as only half were reserved. This must be the only way the airline can offer such a wonderful service by charging 3 times as much as the train services. Can BMI continue to attract customers at these prices?

You haven't been ripped off. You've booked an airline ticket at short notice.. you've simply fallen into a higher fare category.

Lump it or leave it.. but please don't come moaning because you think its a rip-off.
