no i wont dont worry. But its crazy some of the things that ive been thinking, all be it breifly to enable me to have one! Luckily i do seem to have my will power stongly in place this time! I wont give in.....

I do keep reminding myself that just one wont be just one. As someone else onthis thread said, i know that one will be to many and that 100 wont be enough.

Great to hear we are all going strong! I hope Martin keeps an eye on this thread and can see how we are all becoming true MSE'rs who don't waste money on ciggies. It's not been a bad day at all for me, not thought about ciggies much unless I have been on here talking about them etc. I fancy an Indian tonight as a treat as I don't fancy cooking so I am wondering if I am going to find it too 'hot' now my taste buds are working properly? I imagine I shall still fancy one after I eat dinner as that is when I used to enjoy them, but I shall have a puff of my inhaler, breathe deeply and think of you all. Your success is my success. Keep going, another day tomorrow....

EMBER: Hope you enjoy your indian. I havent noticed a difference really in my sense of smell or taste, that said i did eat a chilly out the jar last night (which i used to do without thinking one after the other) and nearly choked because i found it soooo hot!! So maybe they are more sensative now after all!! Enjoy your smoke free evening sweety x

Boy was that Indian Hot! (that's 'meal' not person lol :p ) My appetite has returned with a vengence! It never really recovered following my cancer scare last September and to say I am 8 1/2 stone wet is an under-statement :p I have just polished off a huge Chicken Pathia with Pilau Rice, 2 popadoms and 1 chappati. I am so stuffed  and as soon as I had finished the last mouthful I rushed on to here to 'forget' I used to like a ciggie after dinner ;)

To be honest, I could fancy one, for sure but that is just habit, I know that now. My nasal spray is giving me a 0.5ml shot x2 (a squirt up each nostril) and that gives me the nicotine I would normally get from one ciggie. So my body is getting nicotine, I am just still having to learn to live without the 'habit' of smoking.

When I went to pick up my Indian I had to wait a short while in the lounge area and two men were in waiting also, one was smoking and that was the first time I had smelt it as a 'non-smoker'. What a stink! I am sure I scowled at him. Combination of factors really...he was smoking, I can't. It smelt and the room was smokey. Bizarre! I think I am changing my attitude to smoking. I came out clutching my take-out feeling rather smug. I don't worry about putting weight on giving up smoking, chance would be a fine thing but I do worry that I am going to have trouble coming off the nasal spray. My usage has halved from what it was in the beginning but I do ensure I have it in the back pocket of my jeans at home and squashed it into my little bag before I left the house. I feel like a baby with a comforter :A

I am so pleased everyone on here is sticking with it. I am sure I would have failed had it not been for the knowledge of others suffering also. That sounds bad doesn't it? but you know what I mean. Solidarity amongst quitters makes it easier for everyone. Day 12 tomorrow, I am almost excited about it. I really didn't think I would get this far and my husband is so proud of me :j

Don't give up anyone, I need to have the good example you are all showing me to continue.

Morning guys! Day 11 now for me now!

Ember: I shouldnt worry about coming off the nicotine spray. I think it will happen but not for a while yet. I guess there will just come a time where you look back and think, oh i didnt used my spray this morning ect ect. Please dont worry though. Im worried will i be able to cope when my patches course has finished but its a long way off and hopefully the "habit" of smoking will have reduced by then so it wont be so difficult.

Feeling a bit sorry for myself today for other reasons, but it just makes you see how dependant i was on cigs before. Would have them when happy, sad, excitted, tired ect. I dont want one, but i miss my little friends!

Hey ho, Hope you all have a good day today, Im working nights tonight (another huge hurdle im frigtened of due to my "night work smoking routine"! sounds stupid but i have one before i start, one at the start of my break one at the end ect ect) but should be about for a while today.

    Sez x
  • MORNING FELLOW NON SMOKING BUDS - GOOD LUCK TODAY - Ember I weighed in 2 pounds heavier than I was this time last week this morning - have decided not to weigh myself anymore until I'm over this as this what happened last time and I gave up giving up as couldn't handle the weight gain - cannot see how I'm putting on weigh as not binging as such mind you eating grapes by the pound so maybe they are not doing me any good - will put the weight gain down to my age I think !! he he
Have a great Day everyone and keep going -x-x-x- Loz
