I want to make hm pizzas so thought doing the dough in the bm would be easier but its not!!!!
You're right - it's notmaking pizza dough takes only a few mins, so it;s easier to make by hand. Otherwise, use less water in your bm dough.

rub oil on your hands rather than flour,it will be easier to handle and won't wtick to you.People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

You could try rubbing at the dough that's stuck to the pan with your dry hands—the same theory as rubbing doughy hands over the bin rather than under the tap to get most of the gunk off before turning it into a slimy mess.0

Thanks for your replies, I was looking through some of the recipes on here last night and some for hm pizza bases don't use yeast. I thought you had to have that to make it rise etc.
Will probably do this by hand in future.
Thanks again.0 -

Hello all,
I'm continuing in my quest to save pennies and cook from scratch (turns out I'm pretty good - who'da thunk it?!) and fancy getting a Breadmaker. I've been offered a barely used Morphy Richards Fastbake for £10 which seems a good way to dip my toes in. Is this a good beginners BM? All opinions/advice welcomed0 -
this is our recent which breadmaker thread and this is the older one - only recently closed so all possibly still valid

flabadabado - My ancient Morphy Richards recently 'died' - but was allowed to, as had belonged to DD and her DH for several years, then they passed it on to me, and I have used it regularly. And, as I've posted on another thread, I asked on Freegle for a breadmaker and have been lucky enough to get one today which is a Mellerware, but IDENTICAL to the Morphy Richards, which I'm thrilled about as the original had been so good to all those years.
Do you have the manual? (Can't look back to see what you said or I'll lose this post!) If you do, I find programme 2 works well for me, but you do need to measure accurately. I have never had the measuring cup, but "one cup" is 8 fluid ozs.
Hope this answers your query.Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!0 -
Thank you! I do have the manual so will have a go using program 2 tomorrow. So excited!!0
