no i mean when the bread is baked in the breadpan one of the paddles keeps getting stuck with the bread, i had to reach down the side of the loaf and pull it out, any ideas how to get the bread and paddle out together?Other women want a boob job. Honey the only silicone i'm interested in is on a 12 cup muffin tray, preferably shaped like little hearts0

I have just fished out our hinari breadmaker last week to give it a try. How much do you guys pay for your flour and yeast? I paid 79p for a pack of Harvest Gold yeast with 8 sachets in and paid 61p for a bag of strong white flour. This was from Morrisons and was the cheapest I could see i the store. Could get cheaper anywhere?
I have used fresh yeast in my breadmaker and the resulting bread i found is yum. You can get fresh yeast free from asking at the baking section of Tesco's. Just ask for some fresh yeast and they will give it to you. The yeast keeps in my fridge for approx 2 weeks and still seems to be fine when used.Proud to have dealt with my debts. rchddap1 wrote:Yup in the breadmaker. My maker has a 'Jam' setting...and in the recipe book I have a recipie for the jam above, and orange marmalade. Sounds strange, but I love the thought.
At the end of the day, when you make jam all you need is fruit, sugar and heat. All of these things the breadmaker can do. I intend to give it a try at some point. I think it does ask for frozen raspberries / strawberries, but I might just ignore that minor point for my first try.
I remember my Nan with a large pot on the cooker making jam and I fancy making my own concotions....I wonder if I will poison anyone?
I remember the first time Mum and I made blackberry and apple jam. Our recipe was duff - it said to peel and core the apples (which is where most of the pectin is in apples) so we couldn't get a set. I rushed round to the chemist and bought some pectin, and we added what it said on the bottle - and it STILL wouldn't set. "Oh, old pectin," we thought. So we added a bit more and a bit more... Gave up in disgust and went to drink tea.
Nobody had told us that jam only sets when it's cold. Once the jam had cooled down we couldn't get the spoon out of it!

Peanut Butter Bread Mk11 (amazing what a difference a paddle can make!)
Is a monster of a loaf! Rose like something demented...hit top of BM and stuck so the crust got torn off when I opened it. Will have to turn it on its side to cut it so no one sees the missing crustThe smell is amazing...fresh bread and roasting peanuts...yum.
*I will get the hang of this BM malarkey...I will...I will*
P.S. It tastes really good, light and airy, (but not in a shop-bought way), with the peanut flavour and crunch coming through strongly! Just a touch too sweet though...will reduce sugar next time. (What is it with these recipe writers and sweetness!)
Please can someone share this recipe? Ive been trying to search for it and getting nowhere

Hi, I've searched this thread but can't find an answer. I have a Panasonic SD253 which I've had over two years now. Can't fault the bread but increasingly the bread has been sticking in the corners of the pan. I used to use a plastic spatula to help it out but lately have had to use a dining knife with the result that the corners have got somewhat scratched which is probably perpetuating the problem! I have e-mailed Panasonic for a suggestion but in the meantime thought someone on here might be able to answer my question. Is it possible to season the pan to make it non-stick again or am I going to have to buy a new pan which I heard were about £25:eek: ? Thanks in advance.0

I bake bread in the oven - however it always comes out like a loaf-cake rather than a bread loaf! It doesn't seem to rise and it seems a bit on the stodgy side! Anyone any ideas what I am doing wrong?Dream of being mortgage free....
