i have about 15 pence left in my november shopping budget and i need bread , so i am using my bread maker. i have all the ingredaint's expect for powdered milk. so i have put a little less water in and added a little bit of milk.
so as title says will it or won't it work out.
Well i shall find out in about 3 hours when bread maker has finished. i really hope it does as i need bread , but if it doesn't then at least i can't say i didn't try.
has anyone not put powdered milk in before ?0 -
Hi I am thinking of investing in a breadmaker. Any easy to use ones out there as I have a slight mobility problem and can't lift anything too heavy.
Also I am looking for an easy one to use, as in the past I have made bread to hard way i.e.kneading ect,.
So price, and ease of use is important, and will it save me money.I am fed up of the cotton wool type of bread in the supermarkets It goes mouldy so quickly and I end up throwing it out for the birds. They are better fed than me at times !0 -
Most here have put their breadmakers in a certain spot on the worksurface...so that they don't have to lift it.

I always use powdered milk...but there are some on the boards who leave it out and don't have any problems at all.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

i've done all three and the only difference is the consistency of the bread. bread is bread and as long as it makes toast that's all that counts (OH says!!!). Glad to see it's not just me who's down the the bare bones - and 8 days to go for me!!!! thank heavens for my Mum indoctrinating me into having a pantry!! (OH never had one until he met me - bless!)
Let us know how it turns out!But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0 -

The Panasonic is one of the best. We've had ours 6 years so it isn't the updated model but it is brilliant every time except when I forget to add one of the ingredients eg yeast!0

Hiya,
By now you'll know that it (should have) worked out ok. I've got my fingers crossed
Anyway, this is a good question to add to our main breadmaking hints and tips thread so I'll merge them together.
