My advise to everyone in this thread is send them a recorded letter (thats the only way it gets to the managers) in my expierience. Threaten to take them to the small claims court for breeching consumer statutory rights. Just type consumer statutory rights into your search engine and read up on it to make sure. Ive just taken them to court and waiting for outcome. If everyone starts threatening them with legal action they may suddenly become professional for a change. Worth a try if its only to not let them get away with it!

thanks for telling me about this i was just about to make an order as i wanted the free tin of choclates.i wont bother i will wait intill i can get them cheap nearer to xmas in my local shop.

Oh yeah- you wont get the free tin of chocolates either - you get a letter saying that they are out of stock, and instead of the nice shiny round tin of choccies you get a small cardboard box £2 type as "an apology".

Grrrrrr! BAD studio! We hates them round our way!

:T Just to let everyone know I took Studio to the small claims court and WON!!!!!!!!!! I received payment today including delivery charges and court fees. They were bad loosers though and sent me a letter with the payment saying it was all my fault that they didnt give me the refund i'd been after for months on a faulty patio set! Id like to see everyone take them to court, its so easy online and revenge is sweet!

These people should never be trusted. I joined them when I was 18 and thought they were great the first year as they didn't charge me interest on my orders. Then the second christmas, after ordering a huge amount, they decided after a couple of payments they were going to start charging interest and not tell me! It was an absolutely ridiculous amount and the payments crippled me and being so young I didn't know what to do so I just struggled on to pay it off. This actually took me to near enough the next christmas! :mad:

I still get catalogues off them with letters saying we have not heard from you for a long time, but you were such a valued customer that we would like to try to win you back by giving you this special half price catalogue, its the same catalogue that my mum gets from ace for being such a loyal customer as she orders every year. When the catalogue comes I just let my little boy look through it, he likes looking at snow and trees, then use it for cleaning up the dog mess from outside.;)

Phew am I glad I binned mine, I was almost tempted by the chocolates, thought I'd order all my christmas cards and get a free tin but decided that I would probably be able to get just as nice cards locally and for less money. After reading all your posts I will never bother with them!
