Just think ...would you have eaten the chocs? I gave them as a present for a friends birthday who enjoyed them thoroughly! I don't like to keep too many chocolates in the house cos I end up eating loads and feeling sick!! Wish I kept the tin now! was worth £20!! >:(

Maybe we should all write to their M.D. and suggest that he reads this page - action might happen, who knows!
  • Lots of people sent off for the free items only and didn't put in a paying order, as per the t+c's.
I still recon the £20 charges are studio's way of getting their own back and recouping costs as it seemed to affect mostly the ones who sent for the freebies only.

To be honest they have always had a bit of a reputation but it's like anything, some people are lucky with companies and others aren't.

I had a similer experience afew years back with on of there sister companies ACE, they offered some free incentives, the kept saying that these freebies (which i was entitled for) were out of stock and would be deliveried when in stock. Over two months later they arrive in seperate deliveries each with there £5 postage charge, the items were'nt even worth that. Complained till i was red in the face, no luck at all

WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN

They shouldn't accept the order that only has freebies in it!! >:( >:( >:(

They are extremely stupid! If I was happy with that service I would have easily bought a lot more of their products! I have a lot of family and the catalogue is sooo tempting!! they have lost a good cusmomer in me!! :(

Just to update you - I have today written to the M.D. sending a cheque for the amount less the cost (average) of a tin of Roses.

I e-mailed them with my intention, a couple of weeks ago and haven't had the courtesy of a reply, so maybe their M.D. will do so.

Well, you asked for an update ........
    This company is a joke.
Yesterday I received a parcel containing a BOX of Roses and on the box it says ... DUE TO UNFORESEEN DEMAND WE ARE UNABLE TO SUPPLY YOUR CADBURY ROSES IN A TIN. WE APOLOGISE FOR THIS AND HAVE SUPPLIED THEM IN A BOX Firstly, the contents of a TIN wouldn't go in a BOX. Secondly I didn't order these, and thirdly, they have had the flaming cheek to include an invoice for £3.99. for postage and packing.

Do I give up? Not on your life.! The M.D. hasn't had the courtesy to reply to my letter anyway - yet. >:(
  • have a look if they have cashed the cheque....if they have for the order they have accepted the payment as settling....if you see what i mean...
Once the realization is accepted that even between the closest human beings infinite distances continue, a wonderful living side by side can grow, if they succeed in loving the distance between them which makes it possible for each to see the other whole against the sky.
