I have a feeling I've seen something on this subject, but thought I would tell you - I ordered from Studio because they were offering a free TIN of Roses. The order arrived yesterday - no TIN but a small BOX of Roses. I've written to them saying I will deduct the normal price of the tin of Roses, from my invoice.

best of luck .. but dont hold your breathThose we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
Are thinking of you today.0 -
It will be really interesting to see what response you get from them on this, Good luck ;DNobody can make you feel inferior, without your permission
Love doesn't make the world go round, it's what makes the ride worthwhile

I quite agree with your approach - they are contractually bound to supply the tin.
If they couldn't supply the tin, they should have contacted you and given you the option to cancel your order (some chance!) or compensated you with a similar value item.
As there is no way that there is a world shortage of these tins, they are just trying it on.0 -

A Bargain is only a bargain if you need it!0 -
Angelcake - what did you all do about it - did you write to them or just accept it?
They shouldn't get away with it ..... have a good moan.0 -
I just paid up! I didn't need the hassle! I was having a bad day!
some people emailed them and got their money back, others just got told to pay up before facing more charges for interest!
I would never deal with this company again and advise no one else to!
I did get the socks and roses though! You do have to pay
£3.95 P&P most expensive small tin of roses I ever had!! :-[Angel

I would never deal with them again either.
I was with the company ACE which is the same catalogue, so therefore i assume it is the same company.
I have had extortianate amounts of interest to pay for goods after not being able to pay off in full at the statement date and also i had to pay a
£25
delivery charge for a freezer i ordered, which I admit was my own fault for not reading the small print, but seems very high considering other companies charges for delivery are generally a lot smaller. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. HI
I placed an order with these people(on 10th Oct) for over £70 for xmas bits and the odd pressy or 3, also fell for the free tin of roses offer.
I have emailed on several occasions asking the whereabouts of my order, but to no avail.
I finally managed to get through today and spoke to their call centre. The guy who I spoke to was less than helpful. I asked him if there would be a kg tin of roses sent with my order but he informed me that there are no roses left ad I wouldn't even be getting a small box!!!!!!!!!
The other interesting part is that he also went on to inform me that I had phoned up 2 days after placing my order and requested it be cancelled. This I must have done in my sleep as I have no recollection whatsoever of doing this, and i did try to explain that if I had i wouldn't be wasting my time or money tracking down a non existant order!!!
Anyway I consider myself very lucky that this has happened after reading all of your terrible experiences with this company, I had used them a few years ago with their awful customer service and interest rates then, you would have thought I had learned my lesson then, the free tin of chocs just proved to be too tempting!!!!!!!! ;D.Charles J0
