have a look if they have cashed the cheque....if they have for the order they have accepted the payment as settling
They may well cash the cheque, but that does not preclude them from chasing the balance.0 -

Just had a phone battle with them regarding an order that took FIVE WEEKS to arrive!
They had the flamin cheek to charge me nearly £16 in administration fees. They say they have previously sent statements, I have never received these and if I had, would have paid the balance promptly.
To cut a long story short, after being on hold for 23 minutes, I managed to get a supervisor who, on explaining the situation, wiped the charges without a murmur. Amazing! I really think they were chancing thier arms on this one to hope I'd pay up quietly.

would never bother with them, i had a dispute with them about 3 years ago that took nearly a year to clear up, they ended up sending me my order in triplicate, then denying it until they billed for for 3 lots. You can imagine trying to sort it out.
This year however, I did get tempted with the Roses and ordered, 5 weeks later no order, rang and asked and said they'd no knowledge of my order, the last thing they'd got was of me owing (!) £200 from 3 years ago, I asked if he didn't think they would have chased me if that really was the case and he didn't seem sure and he then said i don't think you know what you talking about.
One phoned slammed down, and NEVER NEVER NEVER deal with them again!!!!0 -
I agree with all of this, but I couldn't believe my eyes yesterday when reading another section (can't remember which one it was now) and there are quite a few messages from folks who think Studio Cards are wonderful, and in fact had received TWO tins of Roses, and some had TWO boxes of chocolates in their orders.
Was I dreaming I wonder?!

A few years ago, Studio were offering everything 50% off, so we ordered about £80 worth of goods. We had ordered lots of times from them with no trouble. Well we waited and waited nothing turned up so I rang them. Was then told that our order was cancelled because our credit rating was bad
I was horrified as we never had any problems before, so in a panic applied for a record of my Credit rating, (which you have to pay for) and low and behold my Credit rating was perfect. I then called Studio and stated my rating good, she said "oh must have been an error then!!!" then slammed put the phone down.
My guess was they could not meet the orders and loads of people had order as it was 50% off so they came up with this stupid excuse. My, did they make a heart miss a beat or what >:(
My advise to anyone.....DO NOT TOUCH STUDIO....BIN THE BOOKS!!!!! ;DWhat goes around - comes around

my mum has just received a catalogue from these and after the trouble i and others on here have had i made her bin the book, its not that cheap and they're not clever >:( >:( >:(Nobody can make you feel inferior, without your permission
