Penelope Penguin - I thought most people on here have been consciously trying to include the OS stuff going on in their lives. As I am aspiration OS and haven't got there yet, I just put what I'm trying to do and really appreciate the support from others. I'm sorry that you are upset. I am sure that most people on here are also trying to keep the OS stuff going.

I am enjoying reading about other's old style journeys like Esor who has made pastry, which I don't even dare attempt yet.

To everyone - And you know I said that for the first time I reheated frozen home made soup with bread from the breadmaker - well dear heart loved it! So I shall definitely have another go, although I thought the soup tasted a little sweet Little bear was grumpy bear, so just had home made bread with cream cheese because he could easily eat that at his own pace through snuffles.

Has anyone heard anything from Money Saving Diva? Her recipes are amazing. I do hope she is okay, with Treacle and Tristan.

edited to add ((hugs)) to stefe and DD. I really hoped and thought it would be settled one way or the other by now. Fingers crossed ( and prayers said) for a good result tomorrow. Our eldest DGS loved fish, so DS and DIL took him to the aquarium and all he would look at were the sharks. Eventually they persuaded him to touch a ray:rolleyes:

And funnily enough, despite the fact that she claims to have been bullied, I have never seen anybody post anything like that to Penny Pincher in the 2 years I've been posting on the Daily.

And regardless of all this unhappiness I still think that the most lovely people post on here.

Tongue in cheek - must put something OS in - defrosting brisket to cook in slow cooker. Just thought (genuine just thought, might as well finish typing) I have left the brisket out - and evil cat has had access to the kitchen. :eek:

I love the daily thread and would miss all the usual posters,if they were not to post.

It seems that whilst this thread should be just old style we do live in a modern world and not all of us,even if we would love to could stick to a strict OS way of life ( after all we are all posting on an internet forum using a modern technology )

Hmmm today i used the BM to make a loaf for DS, he would eat a whole loaf to himself if i would let him

Hope sybil manages to rescue the brisket before evil cat gets its paws on it

plain and simple it is bullying, however which way you look at it, had enough of bullies as i have just had to deal with my sons bullying and seeing what it did to him, i never ever want to see that again

I'm afraid I'm brooding on this post and I've logged back in because this has really upset me. I really think you owe Aussie an apology, pixiedust. She hasn't got a nasty bone in her body, and is most definitely not a bully. I've been the butt of enough Aussie jokes to know she'd be mortified if she thought she'd ever upset me. It's just not in her nature to be horrible to anyone. Please don't let your natural abhorrence of the bullying your son has faced ( and I know what that feels like, regrettably) influence your response to a lovely poster.

Well I just have to say, having checked through everyone who posted on this thread today, I'm the only one who can't sleep and is logged on. What a shame!!!! A lovely Daily thread, I've totally enjoyed, but this one has really soured it. I hope there will be adjustments tomorrow, but I won't hold my breath.

The way I see it is that it's six of one and half a dozen of the other. Not sure I would call it "bullying" but there are certainly a handful of posters that have gone out of their way to pick up on every slight discrepancy PP has posted, even gone as far as checking on her eBay sales and posting here about them!

I won't mention names but you know who you are and I know who you are.

On the otherhand, PP has made some rather incredulous claims at times and often doesn't present the whole truth therefore leading others' to mistrust and challenge her at times as we've seen.

Maybe some people just have too much time on their hands and should perhaps concentrate on their own lives rather than keeping tabs on other people
