My baby boy is growing up! He just traipsed into the kitchen to make himself a pink chocolate (strawberry to you and me ;) ) milkshake. He dragged the lil stool to the cupboard got the powder and a cup out. Got the milk and spoon and mixed it all on his own :D Then he liked the milk top 'to make it clean' and the spoon with a view to putting it away in the drawer again :rotfl: Then he made milkshakes for Miss A and their cousin who is here this afternoon.

    :bdaycake: Happy Birthday Summermoon :)

    Afternoon all

One load of washing done, including DD's bedding. I didn't even try to hang it out today, it's not raining but it's really cold and grey.

Generally tidied round but with only me here it hasn't really got untidy. Took dog out then had to go out again when I discovered the batteries didn't work in the cable box remote. I bought loads of batteries earlier this year but (what a surprise) when I went to the cupboard I only had AAs left not AAA which is what I needed. I wish people would say when they use the last one of anything.

Caught up with Home & Away and Corrie then I sat and wrote my Christmas cards and stuck the stamps on. They can sit on the computer desk shelf for a while, feels too early to post them yet. I have got one to go to the US which I'll post this week.

OK, off to catch up with posts.
  • Have made up my mind what I'll do for the lot at work - M+S have got some lovely glasses for 50p each (stocked up on last weeks 20% off day), put red and green tissue paper inside and fill with lindor chocs nomnomnom - job done for about £1.20 each - will also do as stocking fillers for rellies

thats a brilliant idea, I was thinkning about doing some baking but that sounds a lot simpler! Thanks also about the tip about the M&S 20% off day, i have a £20 M&S voucher that has been resting in a handbag somewhere so I think I'll have a shopping trip!

Ok well, I think I'm doing ok today. both kids are napping at the moment, have had a major energy slump and attacked the treat size Daily Milk caramels, so I'm ok now!! Must cut down on chocolate before i stop breastfeeding, i'm back to a size twelve now thnks to DD2 but it won't last long at this rate!

Friday - living area, hall and stairs - catch up!!

Just having a coffee now, starting to feel tired. Can't find my bread recipe for the bm so waiting on a friend to get back to me as she gave it to me and it seems the only one that works.

Think i'll sit and watch a film with the kids for a while and see if this coffee kicks in.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

  • Right - all 3 (okay 3rd one is only 12" high but its still a tree) Xmas trees dressed and twinkly (sorry tooch). Empty boxes ready to go back into the attic. Pictures/ornaments got bits of tinsel round them - its looks so tacky its great - Xmas and good taste don't go together - it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that bling!

Just trapped my hand in the TD helping to lug it into the back garden - DH is going to try flushing it thru with a hose now to see if there is any fluff stuck where it shouldn't - methinks new TD will be needed but need to wait til sales - its flippin nippy outside - we've got fog too Valli- drifted in last night and has stayed put

Found all the cards that I got in the sales last year - think i've got more than enough - we don't bother at work but donate the card money to Birmingham Kids Hospital instead - last year, the card money and the donations in the wishing well of the Xmas tableau came to nearly £2K

Am sitting for a defrost for a bit then I think I'll do a HHC from 4-4.30 - any takers?
    I'd rather be watching CSI!

Well, the dog and I have had a nice traipse round Cranborne and another village called Edmondsham. We only came back because it started to rain. I found a farm shop and bought a chicken for roast tomorrow. Am now eating hot buttered toast plastered in pate washed down with a mug of tea! Yum yum!

Wooohoooo the train lights are up :D took all of 3 mins :rotfl: can see DH smiling down now. Just need to sort a trailing extension lead and timer plug so I don't have to faff around in all the cables every night before bed.
