Me too Me too!! I've lost two stone since last jan and have oh so many pairs of jeans, cutoffs, shorts and skirts in so many shades - I have cut them all in to 9 inch squares and I'm making them into patchwork curtains for our "kamper"van project - I'm waiting for the OH to put in the windows so I can decide what size to make the curtains and looking at what I have I think I'm going to have enough to cover all the seat cushions too...I'm using the belt loops as curtain loops and sewing the pockets into the curtains so I can bung useful things in them on our travels...
It;s certainly stopped me from putting the weight back on as I've already cut them all up!!

If the denim is well worn it would make a great rag rug. It would also be very hard wearing. I have made several rag rugs from old fleece jumpers/jackets and they make up really quickly and are kind to the hands as you work.
I met someone who was making a throw or quilt for a boy's room from old jeans - I'll see if I can find more info.0 -
How much weight did you loose? You could get some canes and go camping at easter if you lost LOADS!!0

If they're so good you don't want to get rid of them, why would you want to cut them up? Isn't it better that they find a loving new home, probably helping a charity along the way? Or be sold on ebay if for you charity begins at home?
Anyway, if the OP does end up making patchwork bags and has some spare, can I be first in line?0 -
Compost them!

Great thought - making a tent out of all the old clothes that dont fit any more:rotfl:

Thanks all for those great ideas. I think I may go the patchwork bag route as we tend to just re-use supermarket bags, but that would be much better.
Thanks againA friend is someone who overlooks your broken fence and admires the flowers in your garden.0 -
