You could have them made into a really comfy pair of sandals...http://www.recycleyourjeans.com/othercoolstuff.html
My friend had a pair made. I tried them on and they really are very comfortable.0 -

I had a pencil case made out of old denim. It had a zip but velcro would work - or a big button. It had a patch on it too. I think it might have been a red daisy.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

Ah, that makes sense, we were in Newport so it must be a South West thing because my Momma calls them pump bags and she is a scouser0 -
with jeans torn at the knee i cut them off to make long shorts...but i suppose if they're torn at the backside you could make some daisy duke style hotpants!weaving through the chaos...0

How about draught excluders? One from each leg. Just cut the legs off and sew at each end. You could use old tatty clothes to stuff inside them.

You can also use denim to patch the inside of bicycle tyres if they get ripped by glass etc. Just stick a bit over with the glue you use to mend the puncture.
My clothes go the route of:
1. Wearing for 'best'
2. Wearing around the house
3. Wearing for 'light dirt' activities - cleaning, riding my bike, pottering about fixing stuff
5. Gardening
6. Painting/decorating/fixing my bike
7. Cut up for rags

Hi there does anyone know what I can do with a few pairs of denim jeans that no longer fit, they have a few holes and rips in them so not good enough for the charity bag. I was thinking some thing like a throw or rug. thanks”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”
